Some weddings feel like coming home.

This one was a little bit of both a walk down memory lane and a reminder of just how special it is to be invited into people's lives in the way that I am.

Regan has been a part of my life for as long as I remember. There’s history there, a large piece of my childhood, and a whole lot of love. Being there to photograph this chapter of her life, surrounded by so many familiar faces I hadn’t seen since graduation, alongside new little faces who weren’t there back then, made this day feel extra special to me.

When I asked Regan what mattered most to her when it came to her photos, she told me she loved black and white images. That they were simple people, and that she didn’t need a lot of photos, just a few really good ones. candid.

And something about that made me smile inside, because somehow, I already knew thats exactly what she was going to say.

Because when I think of Regan and Sean and the love they share, I think of something genuine. Something uncomplicated. Two people who love each other wholeheartedly, who are easygoing by nature, who appreciate the simple things and the beauty of being surrounded by the people they love.

And I think there’s something really beautiful about that kind of love. The kind that doesn’t need to be dressed up or made into something it isn’t. The kind that just is.

I hope these photographs feel like you, Regan. I hope they hold the simplicity, the warmth, the familiar faces, the little in-between moments, and all the things that made this day yours. I hope that years from now, when you look back at them, you can feel a little bit of what it felt like to be there.

And this day? It was good for the soul.

The way everything unfolded, the food, the people, the company, the feeling of being surrounded by so much history and so much love. It was one of those evenings that reminds you that sometimes the very best things in life are also the simplest.

One of the most humbling parts of running a photography business is realizing that my job depends on people choosing me.

Every booking is a reminder that someone saw your business and decided "this is where I'll spend my money."

I'll always be forever grateful.

When I was asked to capture these grad photos, I knew right away what they were looking for: nothing overly posed, nothing forced. Just natural moments, genuine laughter, movement, and a whole lot of fun.

And that’s exactly what this session was. A little direction, a lot of personality, and the freedom to simply be yourselves.

Taking these photo were extremely cup filling for me. Let this be your reminder to enjoy life, the people who make you feel like home, and sometimes it’s ok to not take things too seriously. Enjoys some snips from this fun 2026 Grad session.

I almost didn’t take these photos.

You’d think that as a photographer, especially a lifestyle photographer, I’d have it all figured out. The outfits planned. The light considered. The location chosen. Every little detail thought through days, maybe weeks, ahead of time.

But this time, I didn’t.

I couldn’t find anything to wear. I had decision fatigue. I stood there wondering if I should just forget the whole thing.

Because being on the other side of the camera is strangely terrifying when you’re the person behind it.

I know where the light falls.
I know what angles I like.
I know all the little things I would normally notice and pick apart in myself.

And for a moment, that was louder than the reason I wanted these photographs in the first place.

But then I took them.

The photographs I’m almost never in with my baby.

And now, looking at them, I’m so glad I did.

Because I don’t want photographs that only show you what we looked like.

I want photographs that make me remember what it felt like.

I want you to almost smell the September air when you look at them. To feel that little chill on your skin. The way the morning light felt as the fall quietly slips in.

These are so perfectly imperfect.

And that’s exactly why I love them.

Because the photographs I want aren’t about perfection.
They’re about memory.

The kind that feels cinematic without trying to be.

The kind that makes you stop for a second and feel like you’re standing there again.

September air in your lungs.
Your baby’s hand in yours.
The sound of their little laugh.
The way home felt that day.

Perfectly imperfect.

Just like I want to remember it.
