Takes me back...

It's been three months since an electrical fire seriously damaged the second floor of The Bridge. Although the restaurant and kitchen were unharmed by the blaze, there was significant water damage to the entire first floor, requiring that it be completely gutted.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce that that damage to the building was too severe and that we will not be moving forward to complete renovations to reopen. We may have only been open a short time, but everyone, from the fantastic live entertainment, our wonderful staff and of course...our amazing customers, made our eighteen months ones we will never forget.
Thank you!

We would like to say a HUGE thank you to everyone for their support over the last few days.

In particular, we would like to thank the Trent Hills Fire Department for their swift, speedy arrival at the scene and for quickly taking control of the fire so we have a building to return to.

Yesterday, we saw just how fantastic our neighbouring businesses are. The Christmas party season is in full swing, and we had several catering jobs for the day, and many concerns about how we could possibly keep them without our restaurant.

Our neighbours stepped in to help us out: the Stinking Rose Pub & Grindhouse provided urns of coffee & tea so our party-goers could keep dancing all night long, Capers Restaurant loaned us catering equipment to warm our delicious food, the Royal Canadian Legion lent us their kitchen to prepare every tasty morsel & Sharpe's Food Market helped us get all the supplies we needed for our events. We couldn't have made it through the day without you all.

To all of those in the community who have offered their help and support, either via Facebook or personal messages, a pat on the back or a hug we truly appreciate it.

What an amazing community we live in, thank you all so much!
