Some weeks ago, we catered a corporate event, and the feedback at delivery were amazing. It was a special meeting as the executive leader was present. According to the customer, the decor on the fruit and meat tray, were beautifully arranged and look oh so delicious. She couldn’t wait to present to her colleagues👩🏿‍🍳

Yesterday, we catered a beautiful wedding(no pics as yet), and wanted to share some realtime feedback from the guests about our food and service. Congrats to the beautiful bride and groom😁❤️🎉🌹

Guests responses: “alright vicious and delicious catering!, love love your business name” (Our name was quite popular for the evening)
“Now who is vicious and who is delicious?”

Happy Wednesday Everyone! We hope you are all staying cool and enjoying this beautiful sun-shiny day. We saw the sunrise this morning(a couple mornings so far☀️), catering breakfast/lunch/dinner for a corporate event and Drop off service for a picnic. A month ago, we catered social events, family gathering/reunion, birthday, corporate and more. Thank you for your ongoing support with our small family business👩🏿‍🍳

Please meet the heart and soul of V&D catering. This woman work at the crack of dawn to sometime midnight(most times🤣). To ensure your food not only look edible, but flavourful, and leave you going back for 2nd/3rd. She loves being creative in the kitchen, and hate to repeat creativity(food decor) she already created. Yesterday’s Lunch, for example was harvest bowls with Chicken Breast. Our chef first time making it, and the feedback from everyone was;it was a huge hit!👩🏿‍🍳❤️😊🌺

The meaning of “Start From Scratch” came from this expression originated from the field of sports in the 1700s when scratch was used in races to refer to scratched on the ground. Participants with any form of handicap could run shorter distances but still had to start from scratchℹ️

Today, Scratch appears in a number of common English phrases and expressions such as : not up to scratch, scratch someone’s back; scratch the surface (of something) or scratch your head. Start from scratch is arguably the most frequent of these common idioms. There are other common variants such as build or createsomething from scratch, in addition to make or bake🍪

On the menu were: Potato salad with a dijon mustard tangy Vinegaritte, bbq chicken, assorted chicken Caesar bacon wraps(some), some Sweet Thai Chili chicken wraps. A pot pie is a warm, savory North American pie filled with meat(Chicken, beef, turkey, or seafood), vegetables, and a creamy gravy under a flaky pastry crust🥧

It’s lunchtime here for our team, so we are having 2 types of meat pot pies today, chicken and beef(sampling for an upcoming event😃). Both pies are made from scratch including their viciously delicious flaky buttery crust. Each bite is a warm and savoury taste. The chicken and beef is well seasoned with basic spices, creating a flavour that burst in your mouth😋

Campbell River is such a beautiful small town with amazing breathtaking scenery, Salmon Capital, hiking trails, cruise ships sailing by during their season(May-September), local swimming spots, waterfalls, wildlife, and incredible people with the kindest heart🌷

During delivery, sometimes chef Cherry is there at your door to greet you, other times she is too busy in the kitchen to deliver in person. However, when she is present during delivery, the homeowners invites her in for a quick tour of their homes. According to our customers she is kindhearted and trustworthy. This week we have been catering to a fishing group. Breakfast, lunch and dinner. Yesterday, during dinner drop off a cruise ship was sailing by. While we wait outside, our amazing chef was invited In. Sometimes, we say to ourselves “was she kidnapped”.😂🤣

We have been busy over the weekend to present making all your meals from scratch with love, and catering your events. Thank you for your ongoing support with our small local family business. We sincerely apologize again for being unavailable for weekly meal deliveries until mid August. On our menu is apple pies, steam rice, lasagna, steam veggies, salads, house-made sauces, meat and cheese platters, fruit platters, chicken wraps, cookies, and lots more. We cannot extend our gratitude enough to this beautiful community and surrounding areas, for your ongoing support with our small family business. Before Vicious and Delicious Catering, our amazing owners Cherry & Travis were Hotel Managers, working together for 13 years. They wanted to start something new on their own, as they are a hard working couple. Cherry loves to cook and bake, while Travis is very good with accounting, organizing, and lots more. That’s how the dream of V&D catering started to current😊

We have upcoming events booked including catering a wedding, as a result of, there will be no weekly meals or other deliveries available from July 24-August 20. We sincerely, apologize for any inconveniences at this time. To our weekly customers especially, we cannot wait to resume our weekly meals once we get back❤️🌷

It’s Throwback Thursday! We hope it’s a beautiful day for you all, and if not we are sorry, and hope tomorrow is a brighter and better day. Remember good food is the foundation of genuine happiness☀️🌷

To teach a child to cook, start with age-appropriate tasks, practice fundamental kitchen hygiene, and focus on simple recipes they already enjoy. For example, chef Cherry’s daughter has been cooking and baking with her since age 2. Doing simple tasks like tear lettuce, stir batter, measure ingredients and more. Once she got older she learnt about food sanitation, handwashing, hairnet, apron, gloves and more. Never discourage the little ones from helping in the kitchen, as young minds are very creative and adventurous eaters. To present, her daughter is a nurse, and loves to cook like her mother. She always share her freshly homemade meals with her parents, ask for food tips, recipes and more😃

This is her version of Chicken Teriyaki with baked Chicken amongst delicious flavours. V&D team give her a 10 out of 10. Thank you for your ongoing support with our small local family business.👩🏿‍🍳❤️😊🌺
