It's a challenge to choose connection, especially when our schedules are packed with all the demands on our time and things we 'want' to do. But amidst this busyness, it's important to remember the value of meaningful connections.

Make time to connect. Because when the demands go away and things aren't going the way we thought, all we will have is each other. These connections not only provide emotional support but also enrich our lives and bring us joy.

Make connection a regular thing, even when it doesn't seem convenient.

I've had the honour of officiating weddings for countless couples and coaching many more through the highs and lows of relationships. And while every couple is unique, there's one question that always seems to come up:

"What's the secret to lasting love?"

Is it communication?

Shared values?

Chemistry?

Faith?

Forgiveness?

The truth is—it's never just one thing.

Love that lasts is built on many small, intentional choices.

It's showing up even when you're tired.

It's choosing grace when it's easier to hold a grudge.

It's making space for laughter, growth, and, yes—even disagreement.

Love isn't something you find and keep.

It's something you build and nurture—day by day. And it often starts by asking the right questions.
