Did you know this?

Getting married at City Hall can actually cost more than having an officiant come to you.

Here’s the breakdown 👇
📍 City Hall ceremonies
• Only Monday–Friday
• Time slots: 10–12 or 1–3
• Marriage license: $187 (required no matter what)
• Officiant fee: $242 + tax
• Administrative fee: $164 + tax

Total: $406 + tax (not including the license)

When you book me for your civil ceremony:
• It’s on your schedule
• At your chosen location
• My stated fee is $350
• And if it’s off-season, during the week, or I’m already in your area — I can often offer better pricing

Same legal marriage.
More flexibility.

This isn’t a fill-in-the-blank process. It’s personal, collaborative, and honestly… a lot of fun. Here’s how we do it together:

1️⃣ We Meet (30–60 mins, virtual)
We talk about you—how you met, what matters most, and what you want your ceremony to feel like.

2️⃣ You Share Your Story
Through a getting-to-know-you questionnaire, you tell me the nuances of your love story, your people, and your wedding day vision.

3️⃣ We Build the Ceremony Together
I give you a ceremony script builder—the skeleton of your ceremony—with 5–17 options for each section, plus space to create your own mash-ups. Nothing is locked in. Everything is intentional.

4️⃣ I Weave It All Together
I take your words, your choices, and your energy and meld them into a seamless ceremony that sounds natural, heartfelt, and unmistakably you.

5️⃣ We Finalize the Details
We meet one last time to fine-tune, answer questions, and make sure you feel confident and excited.

And in between all of that? I’m here—recommending vendors or pizza places, learning your TikTok/Reels/YouTube vibe, and getting just as excited as you are about your wedding day. Because this isn’t just my job—it’s an honour to tell your story.

With over 30 years of experience in weddings, events, and ministry, I’m excited to offer expanded services for life’s biggest moments — including weddings, vow renewals, celebrations of life, baptisms, house blessings, and more.

I hold a Doctorate in Theological Studies, along with certifications in event planning and relationship coaching, bringing together education, experience, and a whole lot of heart.

After the Wedding: What Happens Next?
Once your ceremony is complete, your officiant’s legal responsibility is to get your marriage license in the mail within 48 hours. That part is done, and congratulations—you’re married immediately as long as all the legal elements of your ceremony were completed.
But here’s the important part: the marriage certificate—your official proof of marriage—is something you need to apply for yourself, either online or through your county. The government won’t notify you once they process your license, and it can take 6–12 weeks, sometimes 3–5 months, and in rare cases up to a year. This certificate is what you’ll need for name changes, benefits, and other legal purposes.

To make it easy, I leave your Record of Solemnization in your card box with a thank-you card and a QR code with next-step reminders. I also email all that information, because I know you’re in the afterglow of your wedding and don’t want to worry about paperwork.

Your love story doesn’t stop at “I do”—but this is the part that makes it official in the eyes of the law.
