Flashback: It was about 1977 when I used rub-off letters and clip art to create the artwork for this envelope. Then I ordered a metal plate so I could print them using my father's hand-fed platen press. This is how I printed them; though our press was motor driven.

William (Bill) Irving Severn (1914–1992) was a prolific writer of books about performing magic. Although his books were written primarily for a younger audience, many of his books included real stunners.

Learning magic in my youth, I read all Severn’s books I could find at the public library. Years later, I was able to purchase several of his books.
