Wedding Season is here, and honestly.. it’s a WEIRD time. Some things are somewhat open or planning on relaunching, then there are guidelines on gathering limits and social distancing. But, we still have an opportunity to celebrate those we love, it’s just going to look a little different during this time. ⁣
⁣
So perhaps you want to have a social distancing event with in person interaction, or you’re considering virtual options, or you’d like your guests to have an option on coming or celebrating from afar, here are some options curated for brides + their squad! ⁣
⁣
1. Quizzes ✅! Whether you’re together virtually or in person, I cant imagine a more fun way to spend a girls night. You can find out who your celebrity crush is, which fruit best represents you, etc. Its nostalgic and hilarious. ⁣
⁣
2. Cocktail Mixer🥂! Find your favourite cocktail recipe and take turns mixing each other’s cocktails. If you want to elevate the experience, there are many local “take away kits” that will deliver all the ingredients to you with their recipes, all you have to do is curate it. ⁣
⁣
3. Spa Night💅🏻! Ok this is a clear no brainer, but you can elevate this experience by doing nail art specific to the wedding theme! You can utilize the colour palette of the wedding for matching squad nails! ⁣

4. Paint Night🎨! Did you know that you can order virtual paint night workshops? All you have to do is have supplies ready and someone will guide you through the painting process. Or your night and follow his infamous youtube videos. ⁣
⁣
5. Game Night🎮! There are many platforms to enjoy games virtually and in person. Have you heard of Jackbox TV? You can all access the games through your phone and the game options are hilarious and unique. ⁣

This week has been filled with a crazy amount of events! As I’m writing this Im on commute to my third event of the week(2 more to go after this one). ⁣

I am still in awe at how this is my life.⁣
⁣
That said, I will never be able to express the gratitude that I have for my second home . Its been 5 amazing years so far and I love the community that I have surrounding the shop. The managers, associates and customers make coming into work so exciting each and every time. We also get such crazy opportunities! ⁣
⁣
Yesterday, we had our third fashion show and it was such a dream. The space was filled with all of our loyal anthro members, sips, sweets, florals and the associates who got to model and show off the new fall collection! ⁣
⁣
If you missed it, that’s ok! The new fall collection is now out on our floors! It’s also ANTHRO WEEKEND! So come get all your fall essentials! 🥰🍂 I will see you there!⁣

If you asked me what I love about being an event planner, it’s that I get to create a space for guests that’s intentional. Whether it’s around a communal table or in the midst of a market/shop vibe, there’s always opportunity to serve others and to bring the guests together. I love witnessing the moments where a crowd (big or small) come together in unity for a short period of time to celebrate a moment, company, and/or achievement. ⁣

In a world full of uncertain chaos, it’s refreshing to see unity between people. ⁣
⁣

It’s delicious, it brings you the opportunity to experience new food, it’s delicious, it saves you time, and it’s delicious.⁣
⁣
Honestly, food is always on my mind, and I’m sure it’s on yours too. Think about it, we go on a trip and instantly we think of the snacks at the airport (or gas station), then airport food, then room service, and hot city spots for dining. Everything is built around food. ⁣
⁣
That’s why when I curate events, I always try to find the perfect local catering that fits the style of the event! ⁣
⁣

Fox And The Machine is having a GRAND OPENING EVENT on August 25th and we are looking for 5-6 artists from Calgary to showcase their work. We have a deep appreciation for artists, especially those in our community. So, if you have merch (prints, stickers, pins, etc) and you’d like to have a space to sell them, then you are invited. Since we have limited space, we have to choose artists through submission. However, everyone who submits their work (or is a supporter of artists), is welcome to come and attend the event. We will be selecting and reaching out to the artists by July 20th 2019. Can’t wait to see all of the incredible artist submissions! ⁣
