True North is branching out and taking on the world of stagehands, specializing in concerts and festival setup. True North stagehands are better paid and better trained. Our management team is actively on the ground, working side by side with the other employees ensuring that the client has an easy outlet to communicate any modifications or concerns. True North strives to have constant staff at re

peat venues to help speed the process due to familiarity, saving the client time and money. We will reach out to each client after their event, looking for feedback to help tailor our service to the client’s future needs. Current clients include Live Nation, AV strategies, and what was formally Union Events.

True North Event Crew recognizes that stage hands are meant not to be seen. Our professional looking polos are mostly black with grey accents. Along with our polos, out stage hands and techs will be equipped with all the necessary safety equipment.

We know many of you have been waiting with hopeful hearts and clean hands to hear if the Calgary Folk Music Festival will go ahead as planned this summer, July 23 - 26, 2020. The pandemic has paused the presentation of the live music that fuels our diverse community. So, with heavy hearts, we need to share that we have to cancel the 41st annual Festival on Prince's Island Park due to circumstances surrounding COVID-19. We care deeply about our community and everyone’s health, safety and well being. We support all public health efforts to return to normal and to be able to safely gather again.

We know it’s a challenging time for many folks. As a charitable arts organization in these uncertain times, we want to offer our sincere gratitude for your ongoing support of the Calgary Folk Music Festival.

If you have already purchased a ticket for the 2020 festival, you may request a full refund or donate your ticket for a tax receipt.
