🍂 FIRST DAY OF FALL and Calgary absolutely understood the assignment.

Kicking off the season with quite possibly the most beautiful fall family session ever. The colours, the mountains, this gorgeous family… COME ON. 🍁

And the best part? This is the exact location of my Fall Mini Sessions! **Full disclosure, the mountains were super hazy Tuesday night, so there was some major editing magic happening here to have those mountains POP!***

This Mama said this to me after I delivered their photos..: because this beautiful little girl of hers graduates this year… and honestly, I haven’t stopped thinking about it.

We’re so good at documenting the firsts, but we don’t always realize when we’re living through one of the lasts. ❤️

I’ve been wanting to use this little corner of the internet to share more than just my own work because there are so many insanely talented photographers out there, and I think we should celebrate each other more. 💛

So I’m starting with someone who gave me the gift I’m usually behind the camera giving to others. 🤍

Our very own Engagement Photos captured my the AMAZING Brittany Cousins Brittney Cousins | Photography in Saint John NB!

She found us the most perfect little piece of East Coast magic. The lighthouse, the ocean, the golden light, and most importantly, all the little pieces of us.

Photography is such a special gift. It’s more than cameras and pretty light it’s seeing the moments between the moments and turning them into something people get to keep forever. And when someone has it, they HAVE it. This girl HAS IT!

I swear photographers have our own little love language through the lens, and I absolutely love seeing how someone else tells a story through theirs.

Brittany, thank you for capturing this chapter of our little family so beautifully. 🤍 We can’t wait to have you behind the camera again when we say I do! Next summer at Yip C***r !!

Another little piece of East Coast golden hour magic ✨ Dedicated to our sweet angel Dolly Parton 🪽

One of my favourite things to capture during family sessions is love in every stage of life.

Because somewhere between the babies, the schedules, the laundry, the work, the lunches, the practices, and the million tiny things that come with raising a family… it’s really easy to become Mom & Dad and forget to slow down and just be you two for a minute.

So yes, I’m going to photograph your babies.
The snuggles. The chaos. The belly laughs. The little details you’ll want to remember forever.

But I’m also going to steal Mom & Dad away for a few minutes. 🤍

Hold each other. Flirt a little. Laugh together. Remember the two people who started this whole beautiful, messy thing.

Because your love story deserves to be documented in this chapter too.

And Calgary… FALL IS COMING. 🍂

Wrapping up the Magic from my annual East Coast trip and my heart is so full. 💛

There’s just something about summer sessions in the Maritimes…bare feet, salty air, golden light, and kids being exactly who they are right now.

Because this is their last summer at this age.

Next summer they’ll be a little taller. Their faces will change. Their personalities will grow. They’ll be a whole new version of themselves.

And that’s the magic of photographs…getting to keep a little piece of this version forever and ever…

East Coast, you were magic as always. 🌊

And Calgary… I’m coming for your golden summer evenings next. ☀️ Let me take the pictures while you soak in the moments. 💛
