This past weekend, we took our little guy to the Bowden SunMaze for our annual photo adventure. We’ve been doing this since he was in my belly, but this year felt different. Instead of holding hands or carrying him, I watched as he raced ahead, excited to explore and search for “treasures.” He had such a great time 😁
As a mom trying to capture these moments, let me tell you, it’s so much harder to photograph your own child! At this age, saying no to mom is way too easy, but a stranger? That’s a different story, SO much easier to photograph other people’s kids! Not to mention trying to position him while battling harsh sunlight because we were working around nap time and travel time… it was an experience! He is learning his own boundaries I guess lol
Looking back at the photos, I can see how much he’s grown in just a year. It tugs at my heart to see him grow up so fast, but it’s also magical to witness him becoming his own person, filled with imagination and courage.
Don’t let those precious moments slip away, capture them as they fly by!
