October feels like a soft reset. 🍂

After taking a much-needed break and soaking up every second of the Jack Jackson concert at the Gorge… I feel lighter, clearer, and ready again.

There’s something about fall that just hits different... Crisp air, golden light, and that quiet permission to start fresh.

This year taught me so much about slowing down, protecting my peace, and trusting the timing of things. I’m carrying those lessons with me and stepping into the rest of the year with open hands and a full heart.

The best part of this wedding day wasn't on the timeline. It was all the moments in between.

Ollie + John intentionally built a day that left room for those moments.

The morning started in Fernie before they made their way to a lakeside ceremony, where their closest family gathered to celebrate alongside them. No overflowing guest list—just the people who have loved them from the beginning, sharing in one of the biggest moments of their lives.

Once the vows were exchanged, there was nowhere they had to be.

We wandered to waterfalls, shared a charcuterie picnic, and watched the sun sink over a mountain meadow bursting with wildflowers. Instead of racing through the day, they actually got to experience it.

I wish more couples knew that your wedding day can look however you want it to. Whether that's an intimate celebration in the Crowsnest Pass, an Alberta mountain elopement, or something completely your own.

The heart and soul behind Fly Free Photography 💕

I thought I’d share a little more about the human behind the camera and honestly I could do a part 2 as there is still so much missing.

But, I’m the girl who’d rather be barefoot than in shoes, who finds her deepest strength in Jesus, who’s wandered through 18 countries (and counting), who used to foster and rehab pitties, who will jump into freezing alpine water for fun, who lives surrounded by 60+ plant babies, who coached volleyball for 17 years, who’s an introvert that still shows up fully for your day, who’s self-taught with a business background (hello Solid Rock Coaching), and who collects experiences more than things.

These are just pieces of me — the same me who gets to document love stories in the Canadian Rockies and beyond. Truthfully, I wouldn’t have it any other way.
