I just want to say - never be afraid to be that person who takes too many photos. Of people, things, places, everything and all of it. Obviously enjoy the moment in the moment, but I encourage people to capture those moments and people and places and things that make them WANT to be in the moment. Especially of the people around you, and even if you’re not in them. I mean, get in the photo too but if you’re not in it, take it anyway for yourself. You’ll be thankful that you have them regardless down the line

when we loose people we love they come back in interesting ways- i always joked that it was my grampa everytime it rained up on the river- especially if it was raining and still sunny. Now, i believe that to be true, because I know my gramma will come back as lochaven sunsets ❤️🌅

since apparently a lot of people liked the reel here’s some pretty photos from that camping trip

I know I’ve posted in depth about this day before but it definitely lives as one of my favourite weekends in my life - even if it was such a weird time in my life. But realizing that this was a few years ago just reminds me that the weird times never stop coming. So, having good times between them is what matters. And don’t be afraid to take all the photos. Live in the moment but make sure you can have something to look back on. This way when you’re in a weird time again, you can look back and think “hey, I still did this though”

Also- I miss Charlie the Ranger. Aaaaandid like to do this vibe with people for a session IF YOURE INTO THAT SHOOT ME A DM :)

T + S - two people who were brave and open-minded enough to trust me when I haven’t picked up a camera since August HAHA

And of course, it didn’t go as planned. The location we were supposed to go to was actually closed for the winter, so we improvised by wandering around a closed down campground down the road. Whic ended up being so so good for the light !!!!!!!

We let the dogs run around, talked about how they met and what they’ve done together, and bonded over things we all love and love to do. THAT part is what reminded me of why I love being a photographer - I LOVE just getting to know people, and getting to show them that they’re fu***ng awesome both inside and out

SO huge thanks to T + S for takin’ a shot in the dark with me, and helping me remember why I do what I do ❤️

NOW OFFERING: WILD SESSIONS!

Formally known as ‘adventure sessions’ they’re essentially the same- just rebranded. The wild and adventure tie together, as these sessions are geared towards the type 2 fun enthusiasts who don’t want to just ‘chill’.

Whether its for a proposal, an anniversary trip, an engagement, post wedding / elopement portraits - these sessions ARE AN EXPERIENCE!

starting a minimum of 3hr coverage, we can adventure multiple places with a road trip, or hike a mountain ,or canoe a lake, or whatever you want - receiving a minimum of 75 fully edited high quality JPEGs

*prices subject to change based off additional hour coverage and travel needed, and permits (ex Banff National Park)

These sessions are about your story, but instead of reliving or celebrating a part of your story that’s already happened, the focus is shifted on CREATING a memory and experience that you can look back on forever - for whatever occasion.

NOW OFFERING: ROOTED SESSIONS!

What are rooted sessions? You might’ve used to know them as ‘Intimate Sessions’ or ‘Storybook Sessions’ if you’ve been here for a while. Other people call them engagement sessions, proposals, maternity sessions, family sessions - Rooted Sessions covers all of that!

1- 1 1/2hrs laid back, easy going session where you receive a minimum of 50 fully edited high quality JEPGs

*prices are subject to change for additional travel and permits (ex Banff National Park)

These sessions focus on telling your story - without all the frills and drama. Whether it be in a nostalgic place, or recreating a date, or just doing something fun and easy - I’ll be there capturing all the big and little details while you spend some fun quality time together! (and I might have a cooler with drinks in it for us if you want)

If you’re looking for something that might involve a little more ‘type 2’ adventure - keep an eye out in the next couple of days for another tweaked session offer
