Thank You to All Who Made Croatian Heritage Day Unforgettable! 🇭🇷

What an absolutely incredible and monumental day we shared yesterday! From the bottom of our hearts, we want to extend a sincere thank you to everyone who made this historic celebration of Croatian Heritage Day in Calgary possible.

To our wonderful volunteers, staff and members who helped prepare and serve the food and those who worked at the front doors, we appreciate all of your time and effort during the event!
To the dedicated volunteers who helped prepare the delicious food—including the unforgettable pig and lamb roast—you brought the heart of Croatian culture to life through flavor and tradition. Thank you for your tireless work behind the scenes!

To the Croatian organizations who united under the Executive Leadership Committee, your collaboration with the Alberta government and Minister Tanya Fir to officially recognize and proclaim May 30th as Croatian Heritage Day was nothing short of inspiring. Your leadership ensured this important moment aligned beautifully with Croatia’s Statehood Day, making it all the more meaningful.

Thank you to so much to Vice Skračić, the Ambassador at the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia in Canada for traveling to attend the event and present, along with other local government officials, we truly appreciate your time and dedication to the Croatian community.

A huge thank you to the performers who shared their talent and culture with such passion, and to all the volunteers and staff who worked on setup and logistics—your efforts ensured everything ran smoothly and allowed everyone to enjoy the day to the fullest.

It was extraordinary to see hundreds of Calgary Croatians come together in celebration, community, and pride. This day was more than just a festival—it was a proud milestone for our community. We already can't wait to do it all again next year.
