I’m highly in favour of well defined, personalized reserved seating signage for wedding ceremonies. It’s ✨ᴜsᴜᴀʟʟʏ✨ a given that the first couple of rows are meant for immediate family but sometimes it’s not crystal clear on who actually qualifies as being “close” enough to join up front. What about your sibling’s new-ish/serious-ish significant other? The neighbours you grew up with who are essentially surrogate grandparents? How about spouses of bridal party members? Of course you can’t assign front row seats to everyone but reserved seating cards help take away the guesswork. They also save us the awkwardness of having to tap tap tap someone on the shoulder and say, “Are Auntie Jojo? No? You’re Auntie Lainey? I’m so sorry, but we need this seat for family. Yes, I know you’re family too buuuuut…😬🥴🫠” You get the idea. Let’s just slap a lovely looking label on those babies and keep it nice and easy.🏷️🪑👍🏼
