QUEEN OF THE VALLEY - SUP RACE
Stand Up Paddle race and meet up for all the rad water women of the Bow Valley and surrounding areas. Come out for a day on the water and put your paddling skills to the test alongside other powerhouse women. No prior racing experience needed. Registration will be capped at 40 participants.
2 race events will take place on Saturday, September 12th at Ghost Lake.
SLALOM SHORT COURSE - 3 buoys, 1000m distance, 5 heats —> finals
TOUR DE GHOST - long-distance race, 5000 m, start under the bridge, paddle West around the island, and back to the ghost riverside dock finish line.
The QUEEN will be crowned based on the best overall placement. Trophies and non-cash prizes for the top 3 women in each race category. (12'6, and 14")
The day will start off with yoga on the beach led by Mallory Chapman and will end with a campfire, drinks, and good times. Camping is available, please book your own spot.
REGISTRATION FEE: $30 (includes event T-shirt + swag bag). Please send your e-transfer payment and registration form to [email protected] to register.
BOARD + PADDLE RENTAL: Bow Valley SUP will have some available, make sure you book yours in advance
TIME: Registration opens at 7:30am, yoga will commence at 8:00am and 1st heat will run at 9:00am. The Tour de Ghost will be scheduled to start at 12:00pm.

We’re here to spread the stoke, not sickness. In order to protect our community and your health, we ask that you respect social distancing rules and remain 6 feet apart from the rad humans around you at all times during the event. Yoga Mats will need to be placed at designated rocks. Masks are not mandatory at this time however we will have surgical grade masks available for your comfort. We encourage every to avoid touching your face and use the hand sanitizer provided. Thank you!
