🎉 Wishing the happiest of birthdays to my hubs, the one and only !!

Brad is one of the best people I know; he is warm-hearted, kind, funny, smart, incredibly hardworking, and pretty handsome, too 😘 I am so lucky to get to do both life and business with him.

All of the stunning, local flowers we get to work with are because of his efforts. If a wedding requires weird or complicated mechanics, he’s got it covered. He drives the uhaul, carries the buckets, reaches the top shelf, and he will even go up the ladder if I ask nicely!

He’s pretty rad, if I do say so myself, so please help me wish him a super happy birthday! 🥳 💛 🎁 💐

A+P’s stunning September wedding was a beautiful tribute to colour, texture, and love for design. We used over 100 dahlias grown by , as well as zinnias, rudbeckia, ninebark, salvia, and so many other gorgeous locally grown flowers!

Fall weddings are definitely some of our favourites, with their iconic colour palettes, long golden hours, and flowers that often aren’t available any other time of year. The weather for A+P’s wedding day was glorious, and we love getting to work with such a talented group of vendors!

My favourite trend from 2024 was definitely single-flower-type bridesmaid bouquets! They are delicate, dainty, whimsical, and super freaking adorable 😍

Their petite size is also an excellent way to keep the cost of bridesmaid bouquets low, which can be important as we see the rise of large bridal parties again! Cute and cost effective? What’s not to love!?

This trend is going strong for us in 2025, and we love to see it! There are so many ways to personalize the idea, but our favourite is where each bridesmaid receives a unique flower that reflects a flower used in the bridal bouquet 💛

The original inspiration descriptors for R+D’S flowers may or may not have been “foraged ditch flowers”, but we translated that to locally-sourced, with organic shapes and unstructured vibes 🌿

What we ended up with was lilac cut from my mother’s garden, peonies, anemones, ranunculus, alliums, and love-lies-bleeding from our garden, and a lot playful, bouncing friends in the bridal bouquet 💜

Definitely still dreaming of this installation from last weekend at . So many of the flowers came from our garden, and we got to play with shape, colour, and texture (all the fun things)! Turns out we weren’t the only ones mesmerized 💛

This Sunday, September 17th, will be our last Upick opportunity at the farm of the season.

Come join us at our flower farm for your opportunity to pick and create a beautiful bouquet of flowers.

$40 gives you the opportunity to come and pick flowers to create a beautiful handtied bouquet.

We will also have Dahlias available to purchase and farm fresh honey.
