Be sure to join us on Saturday, April 11th, for our next, and final show of our 49th season: Ndidi O with Kinjo & Young
There are voices that demand we listen to them. Not to their word necessarily, but to their tone... to the emotional undercurrent that carries with it the soul of the speaker. Ndidi O is one of those voices.
She is an award-winning contemporary roots and blues singer-songwriter, a two-time Juno Nominee, the winner of the Western Canada Music Awards (WMCA) Blues Artist of the Year award in 2019, and nominated for the Canadian Blues Music Awards 2026 Female Blues Artist of the Year Award.
Her live performances exceed expectations with a theme of honest openness woven throughout the performance. She has an ability to connect with her audience
"B.C. artist N’didi Onukwulu, known professionally as N’didi O, has always been criminally under-rated for someone with such an extraordinary voice - one that recalls Billie Holiday, Etta James, Nina Simone and other giants of jazz and blues." ~ Roots Music Canada
The night will kick off with Calgary’s own Kinjo & Young. Incredibly successful individually, together, they have an unmistakable chemistry that truly shines as they blend blues, funk, reggae, and soul with masterful musicianship, rich harmonies, and stories accumulated from years of friendship and collaboration. If you’ve never heard them before, you are in for a real treat!
Jory Kinjo brings a unique history to his music and draws from his experiences playing and performing Soul, Ska, Reggae and Rhythm & Blues all over the world. From playing old-school soul music with long-standing soul band, Mocking Shadows, and warming the stage for Canadian tours for B.B. King, ZZ Top and Buddy Guy... Jory has also toured Europe playing bass for Montreal’s third-wave ska kings, the Planet Smashers and then formed “JK & the Relays”.
By the time Aaron Young was just 23 years old, he had already produced, arranged and performed on over 15 albums. He performed in the world-beat stage show Barrage for 5 years, touring Asia, Scandanavia, the UK, Canada and the US. You may have even seen the odd glimpse of his work on PBS, CBC, MTV, Bravo and the BBC. He has produced and/or played on over 180 albums and played on over 7500 live stage performances spanning across the globe!
