We are so happy to ring in the new year by finally sharing this fun styled shoot from a pre-pandemic world. We shot this brewery wedding just before everything went into lockdown mode, and looking back, it was really the last big creative day we had until micro weddings popped up over the summer! ⁣

This shoot was initially designed to help our good friends promote their space as an event venue. We brought in all our industry favourites, a few friends, and a ton of florals to take the space to the next level and create a beautifully laid back and stylish shoot. ⁣

Would love to say that our holiday mini-sessions went off without a hitch, but one teeny tiny issue did arise...I unexpectedly had to quarantine after coming in close contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19. That meant I wasn’t able to style our set for the day as planned. But, that’s where the snags end! The two creative minds of Tara and Tavia came together, pulled more than their fair share of weight, and brought our design to life while I remained locked in my apartment. Thanks to these two, the shoot went perfectly and the styling was beautifully done. Ladies - thanks for all you do. 2020 - do less, we beg you. ⁣

A brief interlude in holiday shoot promotion to bring you back to a warmer time...⁣
⁣
This couple and their family members put so much heart and so much thought into this lovely weddding day. From baking their own cake, to preparing individual COVID-friendly picnic boxes, to tending to dozens of potted plants, to sewing meters of handmade bunting, to creating cohort seating sections that allowed for physical distancing...they put the phrase “above and beyond” to shame. ⁣
⁣
It was one of my favourite days this summer, because even though the plan had to change significantly, all Kate and Taelor really wanted was to be married, and to celebrate with those closest to them. The day was a perfect expression of this couples’ abiding care for others and - most importantly - love for one another. ⁣
⁣
