๐๐ฅ๐ง๐๐ฆ๐ง ๐ฅ๐๐ฆ๐๐๐๐ก๐ง ๐ฆ๐ฃ๐ข๐ง๐๐๐๐๐ง: King Mars is a Calgary-based DJ and Pan-African Electronic Dance Music artist whose selections are guided by percussion, rhythm, and musical curiosity. With a foundation as a professional dancer, he approaches every set as both mover and listenerโblending his Caribbean roots with the raw language of drums that define his sound. For Mars, the DJ booth is an extension of the body: a place to study, feel, and share the pulse that connects communities across continents.
His music policy moves through Gqom, Afro Tech, Afro House, House, and UK Funkyโsounds that celebrate rhythm as a universal language rather than a trend. Over the past year, King Mars has opened for DJ Puffy, Kilimanjaro, and Bun Xapa, and performed at Chasing Summer 2025, Badlands Festival 2024, Contemporary Calgary, and the National Music Centre.
Through King Mars Agency and Island Algoriddim, he continues to build platforms that highlight Black expression in music and movementโpushing Calgaryโs scene toward deeper connection, authenticity, and rhythm-driven exploration.
