I must say that I am absolutely in love with Lady Gaga's engagement ring. From the pink coloured sapphire to the setting that was made famous by Diana, Princess of Wales there is nothing not to like about this gorgeous ring. It seems to be a theme this year with coloured gems for engagement rings and I have to say that I like it alot and yes I agree with The Knot that Elle Woods would for sure approve!

As a wedding planner I am all for this. Pockets in a wedding dress is just genius. While I do not think that a bride must carry her cell phone with her I think that pockets are very handy to put small items like tissues for example or your lipstick/lip gloss. I would recommend however to put your lipstick or lip gloss in a sealed bag so that if the lid were to come off it would not stain your dress.

So let me ask what is your opinion on pockets in a wedding dress? I would love to hear your opinions.

This is a great post from The Knot, we should not forget about the Groom. His emergency kit is just as important as the brides and should be added to your wedding checklist, if not on there already. If you have enlisted the services of a WPIC certified Wedding Coordinator for your wedding there is no need to worry we come with fully stocked emergency kits already. We usually have everything except the kitchen sink in ours so we have both you, the groom and your wedding party covered!

Confessions of a Wedding Planner

I started writing this blog "Confessions of a Wedding Planner" way back in 2011. For whatever reason I stopped. There are alot of things I stopped doing with the biggest one being I stopped doing what my passion is, weddings all things wedding. How could I fall out of love with weddings? How could that happen, how could I let it happen?

Lately, I have spent many hours thinking why did I stop? How can I get back my passion and more importantly get back to doing my passion? How does one get back into doing what they love to do? For me I think it needs to begin with getting back to the basics. What exactly are the basics? Where do I begin? Well for starters, I starting jotting down all that I would like to do with my business. I also started jotting down my ideas and what I need to start doing. Everything from posting and blogging more, researching more, reading more. Becoming more familiar with what is happening in the wedding world and to be more present in this exciting world of weddings.. Using my knowledge to write better blogs etc.

So tonight, I sat and wrote this blog and hope that this inspires others to pick up something that they love to do and have let it go by the wayside.

As I start this journey once again I hope that I will fall back in love with weddings, my passion. I also hope that there will be some followers of old and new that will be there with me for the journey.

My question for tonight is "Has anyone else ever experienced this?"

What is the most popular time of the year to get engaged? According to the Weddingbells/Mariage Quebec 2014 Reader Survey Report the answer is December to February. Which is the most popular month during the "Engagement Season" to get engaged? If you thought Valentine's Day you would be incorrect. It is actually December with 18% of men popping the question that month. They also say that over 1 in 3 engagements occur between these months. With 86% of brides receiving their engagement rings at the time of the proposal.
So with this being engagement season have you yourself or someone you know gotten engaged so far?
