✨TEAMWORK MAKES THE DREAM WORK!✨

This past weekend, I had the absolute honor of serving as the Assistant Day-of Coordinator with for Maisha & Zaki’s multi-day wedding celebrations! 💍✨ From their stunning, vibrant Mehndi night to their breathtaking, elegant wedding reception, every single detail was a true work of art.

As an assistant DOC, my mission is simple: keep the timeline moving, make sure vendors have exactly what they need, and handle the behind-the-scenes details so the lead coordinator and the beautiful couple can focus on the magic.

Behind the Scenes Wins:
🌿 Coordinating the flawless transition of the vibrant green-and-gold jewel tones at the Mehndi to the classic white, gold, and deep red florals at the reception stage.
📋 Managing the guest seating charts and flawless entry flows so hundreds of "favorite people" found their tables seamlessly.
⏳ Keeping a packed itinerary running right on time across multiple venues so Maisha and Zaki could dance the night away without a single worry.

There are moments at weddings that remind you that beneath all the celebration, there is a story of love, change, and letting go. 🤍

I watched this beautiful bride enter for the first time as his wife - with so much happiness, excitement, and a smile that said she was ready to begin this beautiful new chapter. ✨

But later came the moment no one talks about enough…

The moment she had to leave the home where she had been loved, protected, and cared for. The home that had been her comfort and security for so many years. And suddenly, the joy of beginning a new life was intertwined with the heartbreak of leaving her family behind. 💔

As her family stood in tears, you could feel just how profound this moment truly was.

We celebrate the bride. We celebrate the dress, the entrance, the flowers, the music and the beginning of her marriage. But sometimes, we forget what the woman herself is going through.

She isn’t simply walking into a new home. She’s saying goodbye to the familiarity of the home she grew up in, to the little routines and the people who have always been there. She’s stepping away from one chapter of her life and into another, carrying both excitement and emotion in her heart.

It is such a bittersweet moment - one filled with happiness for what lies ahead and sadness for what she’s leaving behind.

And perhaps that’s one of the most profound parts of a wedding: watching a daughter become a wife, while her family learns to let her go. 🤍

To every girl who has stood at that doorway, leaving her family behind to begin her next chapter - you are not alone in those tears. Your heart can be full of excitement and still ache for the home you’re leaving. Both can exist at the same time. 🤍
