What A weekend. ! When reflecting on an amazing weekend at the 1000 Islands Regatta it’s important to recognize the fans, sponsors, and volunteers that help our small committee of 6 volunteers put on this festival. They show up every year and help us put on a successful event. We would like to take this opportunity to recognize one very important volunteer of our event. Mr. Jason Baker, is an integral part of the setup, operational, and tear down of this event. Jason shows up every year on Wednesday morning, and doesn’t leave until the last dock is loaded on a flat bed for winter storage. Jason not only helps with setup, but also does whatever it takes to get the job done for the event, helps race teams, runs errands for the Hydroplane Racing League, and leaves blood, sweat and tears all over this event with his work ethic. Thank you for your endless effort to make our event what it is today. Great work Jason! Couldn’t do it without you. !
