One year ago, I had an idea. Today, OnCue turns ONE. 🥂

And honestly? I wasn't sure how to feel about it.

Not because it hasn't been good. It has. Better than I ever let myself expect. We went from just me to a team of nine. From "let's see if this works" to nonprofits, corporate clients, fast food chains, event planning, and now wedding coordination.

But here's what nobody really says in anniversary posts: the mental and emotional gymnastics it takes just to show up every single day as a business owner. The pressure to feel proud when sometimes you're just... doing the thing.

I'm learning to let people be proud of me and to be proud of myself. Still working on it. But I'm getting there.

I walked into the Deep Mind Reset Experience thinking I needed better time management.

I walked out realizing I needed permission to rest.

As someone who helps business owners bring structure and calm to their operations — I'll be honest. I had been running on full capacity for so long that I normalized the noise. The mental tabs open at midnight. The guilt when I wasn't producing. The constant feeling that slowing down meant falling behind.

But here's what the workshop cracked open for me:

→ Mental chaos and operational chaos feed each other
→ Rest isn't a reward — the guilt around it is a limiting belief
→ Constant "go mode" isn't discipline. It's depletion dressed up as hustle
→ I don't need more hours. I need structure and a regulated nervous system
→ Slowing down actually made me more productive the next day

The most important thing I learned?

My worth is not tied to my output.

That one's still settling in. But it's already changing how I show up — for myself and for my clients.

If you've been white-knuckling your way through your business, convincing yourself you'll rest "when things calm down" — this is your sign. Things don't calm down on their own. You build the calm.
