Rocky Crest transformed into a wonder of grandeur and sophistication for M&K’s big day. Custom furniture, bespoke linens and lush florals adorned two tents, the second featuring a greenery-lined breezeway and ceiling. We loved bringing this design to life and these two were a joy to work with 💛

The seeds that you sow, you want to watch them growing 🌱🌼
We are so proud of Flower Child and how far it has come in 8 years. Sometimes it’s easy to feel stuck or like nothing ever changes or improves. I scrolled back in my camera roll to 2017 where I documented my first ever paid flower booking. Look to the end of this post to see the photos! I remember thinking the 6 Home Depot buckets of blooms were the most flowers I’d ever seen. I was so stressed caring for them. I didn’t know flower wholesalers existed and literally just bought them from the flower shops on Avenue Road in Toronto. I used a moving cart lent to me by my doorman to take them all up to my 34th floor condo. My poor roommate endured the A/C being cranked down as low as it would go. I remember texting a photo of a single rose boutonnière that I thought was absolutely groundbreaking design work. Then I delivered them in my 2008 Honda Civic. The efficiency was at about -1000. Profits were just as dismal.
Nowadays a big beautiful arch like this one at Northridge Inn is just a fun peaceful morning for Amy and I.

We would like to introduce the newest member of the Flower Child team, Pippin Holderwood! You’ll find him taking calls in the office and washing flower pails in the studio.
But actually this has nothing to do with flowers - we are just obsessed with our new baby and figured everyone needs a little pug puppy on their feed. This gooderest boy is settling in so well and his big brother Poe is being so kind and patient. Are we insane getting a puppy in the middle of wedding season? Maybe! 🫣
Also - we are out of office for the next four days celebrating our fifth wedding anniversary. I worked my tail off today getting all emails and quotes caught up. Talk at you Friday friends!
