VOLUNTEERS
When we started to plan for last year, we had to reach out to a bunch of people to ask for their help. This year we didn't have to make a single call. Most of the folks that helped out last year came back and we had a bunch of new people join the team. It takes a small army of volunteers to make our event a success and we can't say thank you enough to everyone that came out this year. Our volunteers look after an incredible list of tasks such as manning the gates, parking, loading and unloading trains, taking tickets and making sure people get to where they need to be to enjoy the event.
The volunteer organizations that supported us this weekend include:

The Red Deer RCMP Veterans Association - Gate and entry both days.
Boxcar Grill from Eckville - Food and staff. All proceeds from sales were donated to our event. The BoxCar Grill

On top of the regular volunteers we also have a dedicated group that come out and operate the trains as well as some that bring their own locomotives and train cars. Thank you to the Central Railway and the Alberta Central Railway Museum for supplying their locomotives, passenger cars and volunteer staff. Thank you to our volunteer engineers and conductors for safely operating our trains.
