This video makes us laugh! There’s always two types of bridesmaids:

Yesterday, we shared a message of support following the tragic loss of a truck driver and the devastating collision that has touched so many lives in our community.

We were humbled to learn that our words were recognized and published in the Edmonton Journal. While we are grateful that the message resonated with others, our hearts remain where they were yesterday—with the family and friends mourning the loss of a loved one, everyone at JDA Trucking, the first responders who answered the call, the safety officers, the witnesses, and the community members and trucking industry that are carrying the emotional weight of this tragedy.

If the recognition of our post serves any purpose, we hope it is as a reminder that in difficult times, kindness, compassion, and community matter. A simple message of support can let people know they are not facing their grief alone. The hardest part after any tragedy is when everyone else’s life goes back to normal, but to those affected, life is at a stand still and heavy. Even once the headlines are gone, please continue to support everyone impacted. They need it now more than ever. Please continue to lift them up in the days and weeks ahead, as healing takes time.

Some moments are bigger than words. This is one of them.

Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone at J.D.A Trucking, the family and loved ones of the driver, the First Responders who answered the call, the witnesses, safety officers, and all those whose lives have been touched by this tragedy.

As a former First Responder and someone who lost a family member in a tragic crash, I know all too well the emotions involved. My heart breaks for you all.

Today, we mourn a life lost, stand with those who are grieving, and pray for strength and healing for everyone affected. Big hugs to you all.
