Thank you to our golfers, sponsors, volunteers and the Organizing Committee led by Gino Berretta and Benito Migliorati who made the Canada Shriners Hospital Invitational, our 7th annual golf a great success! The event raised more than $357,000 to benefit patient care at the hospital. Altogether on Monday, August 14th, more than 200 golfers gathered at the St-Raphaël Golf Club to enjoy a splendid day of food, fun and golf. They had an opportunity to interact with some of our patients Carter, Justin, Ghita, and Kenza while participating in the putting contest or sampling some lemonade! As evening fell, golfers and guests gathered for cocktails and a silent auction. Incredible Emcee Lori Graham kept the evening lively and invited two of our patients, Carter and Luca Lazy Legs Patuelli to share their stories on stage. There wasn't a dry eye in the house and both of them received a standing ovation. This was followed by a live auction where the top bidder for the top prize, Georges Koufos won a dream vacation to Ireland for 8 people, with a bid of $70,000 - the Executive Class tickets to Ireland were presented to him by the Air Canada Foundation.
