Keys & Strings We are a professional duo who provide music lessons and music for weddings, corporate events, family celebrations and dinner parties in the GTA

A wedding, corporate event, family celebration, dinner party…. is there any important occasion we don’t celebrate with music? But not just any music. It must be the right music, chosen and performed with skill and sensitivity to the moment. After all… “music is the voice of an occasion.”

For events in Simcoe, Muskoka, Barrie, Newmarket, Toronto and GTA, Keys and Strings is at your service. We look forward to hearing from you! In a musical career spanning more than 30 years, Jeremy and Lalitha Viinalass of Keys and Strings have brought their love of music and their performance talent around the world to nearly 30 countries. There is no substitute for experience, and Keys and Strings brings that experience to every occasion and location.

An October wedding, a breathtaking Muskoka setting and a soundtrack filled with timeless classics. 🤍🎻

For Josie and Damon, music was a beautiful reflection of their story. With Josie’s years of studying dance and her love for classical music, every selection felt especially meaningful.

From the anticipation of the procession to the joy of being announced as newlyweds, and the celebrations that followed, it was such a privilege to be part of their day.

Not every memorable event needs a dance floor. But every memorable event has an atmosphere.

Live music can welcome guests into the room, add energy to a cocktail hour, complement conversation over dinner and make the moments in between feel just as intentional as the main event.

From corporate gatherings and cocktail receptions to milestone celebrations and private events, piano and violin can become part of the experience without ever taking it over.

We’ve played a lot of beautiful moments. This one will stay with us. 🤍

After Serena + Jordan were married, they didn’t rush into what came next. Instead, their officiant invited everyone to gather with them overlooking the water.

A moment to take in the people who were there, to remember those who couldn’t be, and to simply be together.

As the words were spoken, we played softly underneath, following the feeling of the moment before flowing into Romantic Flight from How to Train Your Dragon as everyone gathered around them.

It’s a beautiful reminder that your wedding doesn’t have to follow a traditional script. You can make space for the moments that mean something to you.

Because some moments deserve a little more time. 🤍🎻🎹

There’s something about a Muskoka wedding that feels like its own kind of magic. 🤍

The water, the trees, everyone you love gathered together, and music carrying across the lake as another chapter begins.

Claudia + Joel’s day brought us to for the first time, and what an introduction it was. From their beautiful ceremony on the dock to cocktails afterward, we had the privilege of providing the soundtrack while everyone celebrated against one pretty incredible backdrop. 🎻🎹

These are the days that remind us just how special it is to make music in places like this.

There’s something really special about a consultation that feels less like an appointment and more like a room full of people dreaming up the day together. 🤍

For Chelsey + Jack, that meant a few extra chairs, both sets of parents joining us, stories being shared and plenty of music filling the room.

Then came one of those moments we love.

Chelsey mentioned Coming Up Roses by Harry Styles. We hadn’t played it before, so we asked to hear it. A few notes from the song, a few notes on the piano… and suddenly, an idea was starting to come to life. 🎹

From a FaceTime consultation in West Virginia to a beautiful first dance in Muskoka. 🤍

It starts with a conversation. We listen, we play, we talk through your ideas and imagine how those moments might feel when the day finally arrives.

And then, suddenly, you're there.

The space is filled with your favourite people, the music begins, and you're dancing with the person you love, surrounded by everyone who came to celebrate you.

For Dominika + Elio, we had the privilege of bringing that vision to life at an intimate cottage wedding in Muskoka. From their ceremony to cocktails and a first dance to Shut Up and Dance, every part of the day felt wonderfully personal.

For us, that’s where the magic of live music really happens.
We love sitting down with our couples, hearing their ideas, exploring the possibilities and finding ways to bring their vision to life through piano and violin.
For Josie + Damon, that meant leaning into Josie’s love of classical music, shaped by her years studying dance, and creating a ceremony soundtrack that feels entirely their own.
It’s these conversations that remind us why we love what we do. The freedom to create, the joy of collaborating and the privilege of turning someone’s vision into something they’ll remember for years to come.

There’s a moment at every ceremony when everything shifts. 🤍

The vows have been said. The rings are on. The kiss happens. And suddenly, the aisle you walked down with all that anticipation becomes the aisle you walk back up together.

The cheers get louder, the smiles get bigger, and the music gets to carry you straight into the celebration. 🎻🎹

For Rosie + James, we had the privilege of providing the soundtrack to that moment at our first wedding at Glass Manor, and what a beautiful one it was.
