And so the day is ending, and I've had the pleasure of performing the wedding of Sabrina and Tomek today. Honestly, their joy and love for one another took my breath away. Their story is absolutely amazing and the fact that they are now married is truly a miracle. I'll just say it involved illness and life and death decisions. Yet here they are, truly the loveliest couple and so very blessed with family and friends who adore them both. I am so grateful to have been here to see the joy, the miracle and the happiness of everyone here today.
Congratulations Sabrina and Tomek. May you have a long and blessed life together. ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ™โœจ๏ธ

My friend and colleague, Sage Oates posted this and I have never seen a better description of why you need to hire a professional Ceremony Officiant to perform your wedding. Thank you.

While not practical in Canada, it is a return to the truth about children. They don't need to be protected from things. They need to experience them. It's how we grow and learn about life.

Well here's a new one for me but not surprising. Please help me congratulate Pricilla and Yessie on their wedding, performed today at the Homestead Artisan Bakery in downtown Barrie! They're off to Mexico this year to build their lives together there.

Eeee I'm so excited to hear that Lori Deschene of Tiny Buddha had chosen two of my quotes to appear in her 2025 desk calendar! I've followed her and her blog from the beginning and so thrilled to finally be published, even in a small way!! Pre-orders begin in August. Look for me there!

As most of you know, I'm a Metaphysical Minister and Life Cycle Celebrant whose ministry involves performing weddings, Funerals, Celebrations of Life etc. I do many things behind the scenes, performing acts of service in my community.

If anyone needs a Speaker, particularly for Mother's Day, I'm available for a group, a service club or a group of women coming together. I'm building the work now as I train to become a GrandPal thru CFS for two schools in Barrie. We will be working with students sharing our stories with them. To hear more, you'll have to plan a fundraiser or gather people and I'll come do a talk! Most people who've heard me speak know that I love a good laugh. Reach out thru Messenger and we can chat about how far I'm willing to go! Pun intended!

*** IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR JUDY ***

In 2023 I asked all of you to send prayers, Reiki, and loving energy to my sister-in-law Judy Lusk Brandon who was diagnosed with Stage 4 liver disease in October 2022, and given 9 months to a year to live. We thought we would lose her a couple of times last year but she pulled through. She went from totally bedridden to this Christmas Eve when she prepared the entire meal for her family. There was 14 of us gathered around her, thanking her and cheering her on.
I believe it was because of all the love, Reiki and prayers that you sent. We are so grateful for your help. Now we need you again. Donors were found, one passed all the testing and they began to talk dates for surgery. Please help Judy once again as she prepares for her 8 hour surgery, and her donor as well.

She got word this morning and we need to build momentum. JUDY IS BOOKED FOR SURGERY JANUARY 17TH!!
I can barely see to type this as I'm crying with joy, relief and gratitude for all of you! I believe that the moment we say the name of those who need our help, it is done. So I ask you from my humble heart, to once again begin to send, or continue to send all the Love and Power of the Universe to Judy. We don't know what the future holds for her but we know that the Power has been there with her all along.

So in faith and trust I'm asking you to send all you've got for this brave and courageous warrior as she walks through the next phase. She is joyful, grateful and feeling blessed and she knows it was YOU. May the Power, Love and Light surround her and each of you.

Thank you, many blessings to you.๐Ÿ’œโœจ๏ธ๐Ÿ™

A BRILLIANT SHARE FROM A FRIEND ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝโฃ๏ธ

Some years ago, I was stuck on a crosstown bus in New York City during rush hour. Traffic was barely moving. The bus was filled with cold, tired people who were deeply irritated with one another, with the world itself. Two men barked at each other about a shove that might or might not have been intentional. A pregnant woman got on, and nobody offered her a seat. Rage was in the air; no mercy would be found here.

But as the bus approached Seventh Avenue, the driver got on the intercom. *'Folks,'* he said, *'I know you have had a rough day and you are frustrated. I canโ€™t do anything about the weather or traffic, but here is what I can do. As each one of you gets off the bus, I will reach out my hand to you. As you walk by, drop your troubles into the palm of my hand, okay? Donโ€™t take your problems home to your families tonight, just leave them with me. My route goes right by the Hudson River, and when I drive by there later, I will open the window and throw your troubles in the water.'*

It was as if a spell had lifted. Everyone burst out laughing. Faces gleamed with surprised delight. People who had been pretending for the past hour not to notice each otherโ€™s existence were suddenly grinning at each other like, is this guy serious?

Oh, he was serious.

At the next stop, just as promised, the driver reached out his hand, palm up, and waited. One by one, all the exiting commuters placed their hand just above his and mimed the gesture of dropping something into his palm. Some people laughed as they did this, some teared up but everyone did it. The driver repeated the same lovely ritual at the next stop, too. And the next. All the way to the river.

We live in a hard world, my friends. Sometimes it is extra difficult to be a human being. Sometimes you have a bad day. Sometimes you have a bad day that lasts for several years. You struggle and fail. You lose jobs, money, friends, faith, and love. You witness horrible events unfolding in the news, and you become fearful and withdrawn. There are times when everything seems cloaked in darkness. You long for the light but donโ€™t know where to find it.

But what if you are the light? What if you are the very agent of illumination that a dark situation begs for?. Thatโ€™s what this bus driver taught me, that anyone can be the light, at any moment. This guy wasnโ€™t some big power player. He wasnโ€™t a spiritual leader. He wasnโ€™t some media-savvy influencer. He was a bus driver, one of societyโ€™s most invisible workers. But he possessed real power, and he used it beautifully for our benefit.

When life feels especially grim, or when I feel particularly powerless in the face of the worldโ€™s troubles, I think of this man and ask myself, What can I do, right now, to be the light? Of course, I canโ€™t personally end all wars, or solve global warming, or transform vexing people into entirely different creatures. I definitely canโ€™t control traffic. But I do have some influence on everyone I brush up against, even if we never speak or learn each otherโ€™s name.

*No matter who you are, or where you are, or how mundane or tough your situation may seem, I believe you can illuminate your world. In fact, I believe this is the only way the world will ever be illuminated, one bright act of Grace at a time, all the way to the river.*

It's been almost 14 months since my sister-in-law Judy was diagnosed with Stage 4 liver disease and given 9 to 12 months to live.
She's still with us and we are grateful for all the love and support sent her way, as she waits for a liver transplant. It has to be a live liver donor, which is good because it means if someone qualifies, it's hers and no one else will get it. It's bad because it's hard on the donor as it means 6 to 10 weeks off work as they recover and their liver regenerates.

The wonderful news is that she has been advised that she is finally very close to surgery plans! Nothing confirmed yet but they mentioned January! We're not banking on it but we are cautiously optimistic that it will happen early in the new year.

This leads me to the reason for this long post. Months ago I asked that any Reiki practitioners put her on their healing list and many did. I wanted to let you know that it helped, it's helping, and I'm asking you to continue your good work as we inch closer to surgery. As my brother Eric said to me, "keep doing what you're doing, it's working!"

We are so grateful for your help. Judy has been very ill for months and yet has done everything in her power to rise from this debilitating challenge. She walked into the hospital under her own power and they were impressed. She's a wonderful person with kids and grandkids counting on her being around for as long as possible. Now, that seems like the possibility is growing. The doctor told her there has been some slight liver regeneration! While not enough, it's still an excellent sign. And I believe it's because of you sending her energy and love. Please continue to do so for Judy's got a lot of living to do.

The second reason is that even though we have had people volunteer to donate a part of their liver, we need more! They have to have at least 5 viable people and to get that 5 we need hundreds to step up.
Please consider contacting me or Eric at least for information about what it would entail. You can dm me on Messenger and I can send you information so you can make a decision this Christmas to save someone's life. Judy is a wife, mother, sister, friend and a fabulous cook! I think I can guarantee at least one good meal if you can help save Judy's life.

Please, help us to make this the best Christmas ever for Judy. We love her, and we'll love you too. Prayers, best wishes and healing energy are welcome and accepted with deep gratitude.

Blessings to you for reading this far.

I had the best birthday and I'll tell you why! I performed a wedding in the country for the loveliest couple, Jake & Sydney, and in doing so, I was living my vocation, being present for love. Congratulations you two!
Then we raced back to Barrie for dinner at The Keg with my beloved Bear. Fabulous food, wonderful conversation and the most amazing waiter, Charlie. I ordered a chocolate martini, in honour of my sister Carol, who passed 11 years ago in October. She introduced me to them and I have one every year in her memory. I told Charlie why it was important and when he brought it, he said it was compliments of the house, for Carol. I tell you this so that you see, I was surrounded by love the entire day, from the many birthday wishes, to the wedding, to great food with a great guy, to honouring my sister Carol, who thought I was the cat's pajamas. So yes, happy, happy birthday to me, and thank you to everyone who made me feel so loved. I am humbled and grateful. Blessings. ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿค—๐Ÿ™โœจ๏ธ
