Snowmaking season starts long before the snow flies. ❄️

We’re continuing to invest in snowmaking infrastructure across the resort, including new HKD KLIK Hydrants on Racer.

These hydrants help our snowmaking team get guns up and running faster, improve safety by reducing the need for manual hose hookups, and give us more flexibility as we continue building for the future.

It might look like a simple piece of equipment, but upgrades like this make a big difference when the cold weather arrives.

Better coverage. Faster starts. More reasons to get excited for winter. ⛷️🏂

Big things are moving in the Adventure Learning Centre! 🚜⛷️🏂

We’ve started some grading updates to help create better fall lines for beginner skiers and riders, making the learning experience even smoother and more fun.

Bonus: these changes will also allow us to require less snow in key areas making more efficient use of the snow in the early season start-ups. Less snow needed means we can get things open sooner when the temperatures cooperate!

It may look like dirt today, but we’re already picturing fresh corduroy, first turns and big smiles. ❄️

We’re proud to share that our Snow School Director, Pamela Disera, has been recognized by the Ontario Snow Resorts Association Board of Directors and its members as co-recipient of this year’s Elfriede Huter Women of Influence and Leadership Award.

Pamela has been part of the Snow Valley team for 24 seasons, including 17 seasons leading our Snow School. Her passion for instruction, mentorship, guest experience, and team culture has had a lasting impact on our resort and on the many instructors, staff, and guests she has supported along the way.

From helping instructors grow through higher levels of certification to creating a welcoming and memorable experience for families on the slopes, Pamela’s leadership has helped shape the Snow Valley Snow School into something truly special.

To be recognized with an award named after Elfriede Huter, a trailblazer in Ontario’s ski industry, is a meaningful and well-deserved honour.

Congratulations, Pamela! Thank you for your leadership, humour, dedication, and the lasting mark you continue to make on Snow Valley and Ontario’s ski and snowboard community.

Earth Day may have been April 22, but today our team kept the spirit going with our annual Walk the Hill cleanup.

Crews from every department spread out across the property to collect a season’s worth of garbage from the slopes, trails, parking areas and surrounding spaces. After such a busy winter, we were happy to see less litter than in past years, which says a lot about the care our guests show for this place.

That said, we still picked up a few hundred pounds of trash.

A huge thank you to our staff for rolling up their sleeves, and to our guests for helping keep Snow Valley beautiful. Every coffee cup, snack wrapper and lost glove that makes it to the bin helps protect the hill we all love.

Here’s to cleaner slopes, greener habits and taking care of our outdoor spaces year-round. 🌎
