🎬🎨 Team building, but make it creative!

We had such a blast welcoming the Cineplex Barrie team into the studio for a little pottery painting, a lot of laughs, and some very important movie-related questions! 🍿😂

Favourite movie snack? Candy takes the win! 🍬
Favourite theatre seat? The back row, obviously. 👀
Favourite movie? Let’s just say… there were plenty of strong opinions! 🎥

While everyone painted some seriously amazing pottery pieces, we got to chat, laugh, and learn more about the unique personalities and interests that make this team so much fun to work with. 💙

These team-building events are one of our favourites because it’s not just about creating something—it’s about connecting, getting to know each other, and making memories along the way. 🖌️✨

🎨✨ Start your week with a little creativity!

Stenciling and sponging are great ways to take your pottery from simple to seriously eye-catching—and the best part is that you can build your design one layer at a time!

For a clean stencil design, start by placing your stencil and tracing the shape with a magic marker. ✏️ Once you’ve outlined your design, remove the stencil and fill in the shape with paint using a brush or sponge. This method helps prevent paint from bleeding underneath the stencil while giving you a crisp outline to work with.

From there, you can layer additional colours, patterns, and details to add depth and personality to your piece. 🖌️

Want a softer or more textured look? Try sponging! Dab your colour onto the pottery, gradually building up coverage and texture until you achieve the look you’re after. Experiment with different sponge shapes, colours, and layers to create something completely unique. 🏺✨

There’s no right or wrong way to get creative—sometimes the most unexpected combinations make the coolest pieces! 💫

☀️🎨 What a summer it was! 💛

From spinning clay on the pottery wheel 🌀 to creating colourful glass fusion pieces ✨, painting pottery 🏺, getting creative on canvas 🎨 and so much more, our summer camps were packed with creativity, laughter, and plenty of messy hands!

Watching these young artists experiment, learn new skills, try something for the first time, and proudly show off their creations has been one of the best parts of our summer. 🥹💕

A huge THANK YOU to every camper who spent part of their summer creating with us, and to all the parents and families who made it possible!

We’re so lucky to get to spend our days surrounded by such imaginative, curious, and creative youth. 🌈🖌️
