MTM Agricultural Society The MTM Agricultural Society is dedicated to celebrating and preserving our community’s rich agricultural heritage.

We organize local events, support rural traditions, and maintain facilities as a gathering place for communities and guests. Our mission is to be a community builder and a strong advocate for agriculture and rural traditions. Through events, initiatives, and dedicated support, we strive to improve community living while preserving the values that make rural life so special.

To all the moms, bonus moms, grandmas, caretakers, snack-packers, chauffeurs, cheerleaders, and professional “finders of lost things” — Happy Mother’s Day! 💐

The ones with a bandaid in every pocket, snacks in every bag, and somehow the answer to absolutely everything.

The Elmer and Ona Hansen Memorial Fund Scholarship is now open; the application deadline is June 30, 2026, at 12:00 pm (Noon).

Applicants must be enrolled as a first-year student at an acknowledged post-secondary institution and not have previously started or completed a post-secondary program.

They must be a young rural farm person, resident of Alberta, and complete the information as outlined in the application. Applicants must confirm that they have or are currently living on a family farm.

The Alberta RCMP is asking motorists to use extra caution on provincial highways during a province-wide highway cleanup taking place this Saturday, May 2, 2026, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

This cleanup involves over 12,000 participants, including 8,000 youth from 4‑H Clubs, Junior Forest Wardens, and other youth groups. Participants will be wearing safety vests, and caution signs will be posted near cleanup areas.

Please slow down in marked areas and watch for increased foot traffic. Extra RCMP patrols will be out to help keep everyone safe and reduce speeding.

If weather doesn’t cooperate, the alternate date is May 9, 2026.

How fortunate we are to have volunteers like Ike and Margaret Burton in our community 💛

For over 20 years, they have been the heart behind so much of what happens at the MTM Agricultural Society and beyond—serving as President and Treasurer, organizing events, maintaining our grounds and facilities, coordinating baseball, supporting the Ag Service Board, and leading with 4-H.

Countless hours, endless dedication, and always with heart.
