Two incredible days in Killarney for a conference!

We were pleased to provide professional sound and AV support for Oatley Vigmond’s Northern Ontario Conference at Killarney Mountain Lodge, bringing together healthcare professionals, rehabilitation specialists, legal experts and innovators to explore the future of healthcare.

One of the highlights was the keynote presentation by Les Stroud, creator and host of Survivorman, sharing From Surviving to Thriving — a presentation focused on resilience, recovery and finding a path forward through adversity.

Our role was to help ensure presentations and remote participation ran smoothly, with a complete sound and AV setup that included:

Two PA speakers and multiple wireless microphones, including handheld, headset and podium microphones

Audio connections for video playback from the podium

A dedicated laptop for Zoom presentations, allowing a remote speaker to address the room and hear the in-room audio

AV support for presentation slideshows, videos and other conference content

Sincerely, HSN Foundation — A Donor Recognition Event

We were proud to provide sound and AV support inside the Health Sciences North cafeteria for “Sincerely, HSN Foundation,” an evening dedicated to recognizing the incredible generosity of donors and the impact their support has on healthcare in our community.

Emceed by Sherri K of Hot 93.5, the evening featured live music, great food and an important panel discussion, “Evolving Healthcare: Shaping the Future.”

The discussion was moderated by Anthony Keating, with panelists Dr. Mohammed Shurrab, Alison De Luisa and David McNeil, exploring the changing healthcare landscape and what the future can look like for our region.

The evening also included the presentation of the inaugural Carolyn & Mac Sinclair Award for Philanthropy, named in honour of Carolyn and Mac Sinclair, recognizing their longstanding commitment to philanthropy and the community.

A personal connection

Our own son, Leo, has had his own experience with the care provided through NEO Kids at Health Sciences North. Having personally experienced the importance of having specialized pediatric care available close to home, events like this take on an entirely different meaning for us.

The support of the HSN Foundation and the community helps make programs like NEO Kids possible for families throughout Northeastern Ontario.

It was an honour to contribute our services to an evening that recognizes the people helping make that care possible — and one that hits close to home for our family.
