Custom Lite level costume with premium add-ons: full lining, a second skirt layer, and stretch mesh overlay. The embellishment design features 4.5 gross of AB rhinestones in mixed sizes for a soft, luminous shimmer.

Construction Details

• Two-tone peach stretch mesh overlay on spandex
• Fully lined sleeveless 2-piece bodysuit with sweetheart mesh bodice and shoulder hook-and-eye closure
• 2 layers of ¾ full-circle mesh skirts for graceful volume

Our Story

I’m Sandra and I’ve been operating my small business “San’s Tailored Designs” out of my home in Ayr Ontario since 2016. My passion is making custom fitted dance, ballet and skating costumes and dresses for competitions and performances. My clients may be a parent, grandparent or studio owner/ director. I currently offer my services in person to clients in Waterloo Region Ontario Canada, primarily in Ayr, Cambridge and Kitchener-Waterloo Ontario, Canada.

I have been sewing all sorts of clothing and home essentials since grade 7 home economics class, but I have been sewing costumes for more than 10 years. Initially, I made costumes for my granddaughter who competed in ice dance and won many medals in the singles and dance categories. Since then, I have made costumes for competitors from the Ayr Skating Club, the Champions Training Center (Cambridge), Academy of Ballet Classique (Cambridge), and ConfiDance Studio (Kitchener).

My skill in working with a wide variety of dance fabrics such as lycra/ spandex, stretch velvet, ITY knit, satin, chiffon and tulle contributes to a high standard of workmanship and fit. My experience in working with hot-fix crystals, beading, motifs and appliques are options that I can offer if my client is looking to embellish their costume to produce a stunning effect on the stage or ice.

I resumed supplementing my business doing clothing alterations off season by appointment.
