♥️ Thanks to all that came out to Brookville Hall for Christmas in the Heartland last weekend. It was such a great day in oh so many ways! It sure was busy at times with not much room to sit or move around but a good time was had by all!!!
♥️ Thank you to our volunteers that shared their precious time again this year to help us prep and serve all of those perogies and sausage. We could not have done it without you and we sure enjoyed your great attitudes and smiles too!! Rose and Tony Vilcsak, Sharon and Garry MacDonald, Sophie Homeniuk, and Deb and Dan Doyle - you are awesome!!
♥️ Thank you to George Paleniuk, Dwayne Kushniruk, Orest Pohereski, Brandon Hachkowski and Dwayne Pankiw for the awesome tunes played all day long. One more musician joined us that afternoon but unfortunately I don’t have his name and I also don’t know the name of the lady who joined in to play the spoons with some of their songs. Toes were tappin’ for sure and everybody just loved the music!!
♥️ Thank you to Karen (who is also our awesome Treasurer) for organizing the cool children’s crafts and for donating some of her own supplies too. There were even some adults sitting down to enjoy the craft! Alexa from the 4-H club came out to help for the day and it was great to have her back again. Thank you Alexa!!
♥️ Thank you to Strathcona County for your continued behind-the-scenes support of this great event. Without you the post cards/posters, fireworks, ice carvings and sleigh rides would not have been possible. Strathcona County also provided the two buses at a very reasonable cost to all and we are sending out an extra big thank you to Robyn who worked hard on the bus schedule to accommodate us.
♥️ Thank you to the Josephburg Ag Society for inviting us to participate in this event again. Supporting us with your advertising leading up to the event and providing some grant money is very much appreciated.
♥️ Thank you Jenine McInnis, Andrea from For Fudge Sakes!, and Andrea from Two Trees Homestead for joining us. Your displays added to the atmosphere and everyone sure enjoyed all the treats and treasures that you were selling!
♥️ Thank you Mother Nature for bringing us a warmer day than what we had last year! It encouraged more people to come out for a visit and also made our ice carver’s time on the job so much more enjoyable.
