Where do I even begin? When I was asked by Matt and Lindsay to decorate as well as coordinate their wedding day approximately 7 months ago, I couldn't help but get excited. Their visons, theme and color palette were right up my alley! Not to mention the amazing and talented vendors they had booked.
After having my first meeting with them, along with her mother Margaret, I knew this planning process was going to be great. From that meeting, a pinterest board was created, emails and texts were sent back and fourth, followed by a couple of site visits as well as a visit to one of my favorite florists, Sylvia's Plant Place.
On June 27th we, along with Melissa from Melissa Johnston Photography met once more at Equator Coffee followed by a site visit to go over final details, timeline and where photos going to take place. It was all coming together and really started to feel real. From that visit on there were only texts and emails sent back and fourth.
Thursday July 6th Prior Engagements, Party & Event Rentals arrived to set up the tent and hang the chandeliere and lights. Tables, chairs, cutlery, glassware were also delivered by them.
Friday July 7th was setup a day. It was also a day of torrential rain and thunderstorms. I wont lie, but it sure put a damper on how much setup could be done. We did what we could and called it a night.
Saturday July 8th. WEDDING DAY!!! This day was perfect. There were blue skies and sunshine. This day was also a busy one From start to finish. There was so much to do that I won't go into detail. All I know is that a HUGE thank you goes out to my mom and husband who helped create such a perfect wedding. They both said their vows during on intimate ceremony surrounded by 40 of their closests family and friends. Lawn games were played during cocktail hour, and all guests enjoyed a delicious meal that was cooked on site by Jolly Hog Food Truck. From there, the reception started the newlyweds mingled with family and friends and danced the night away. Actually they danced into the morning. That's how awesome their DJ was!!
