Serena's face painting - serenagartistry

Sometimes the best community conversations happen over ice cream. 🍦

It was great to spend some time with Abbotsford families at our Ice Cream Social, sharing a treat, catching up with neighbours and enjoying some good old-fashioned fun in the park.

A huge thank you to Marble Slab Creamery, Serena G Artistry and Red Grill for helping make the event such a fun afternoon for everyone. Please give them some love and support these fantastic local businesses!

One of my favourite parts of representing Abbotsford South is simply having opportunities like this to spend time with the people who make our community what it is.

And apparently, being an MLA occasionally involves operating a giant bubble gun.

I can live with that. 😂

Thanks to everyone who came out!

3 years ago a beautiful butterfly came to visit me while I was face painting on a job. He landed on my chair and wouldn't leave me. I walked in the park and surrounded by people who were looking at the butterfly on my hand. 🦋🦋🦋

Today I pulled into the event parking lot, I was immediately greeted by a family and her children parked nearby. They recognized me from the festival I had worked at the day before and rushed over, thrilled to see me again. I was told they asked their mom wondering if it would be the same face painter from the day before. They were very happy it was. 😊👍🩷
