A while ago I had the opportunity to help my good friends remember a very special time in their lives with a maternity shoot.

Red and yellow can work together... sometimes

I meant to post this yesterday but got caught up.

and I shot this about two weeks ago now when the last of those beautiful yellow poui flowers were still visible and falling on the ground beneath the trees.

They really came to life this year and lit up neighborhoods and streets and just like that they were gone. commented that there's a metaphor for the beauty of life and youth somewhere in there.

I know we're currently in the season of certain colors but I'd like to take you back to March when the color was green for The Bahamas Kidney Association's Inaugural Emerald Soiree.

The night honored those who have been great warriors and witnesses in the fight against kidney disease while providing them with an elegant evening of entertainment featuring The Essence Band and closing out with a Junkanoo rush.
