ORGANIZERS OF LAMBADA AND BRAZILIAN ZOUK CONGRESSES IN BRAZIL
The organizers of Lambada and Brazilian Zouk congresses in Brazil are actively engaged in the production, support, and strengthening of events dedicated to these dances, both in Brazil and worldwide.
We hereby reaffirm that we do not agree with nor condone any form of sexualized association related to Lambada or Brazilian Zouk.
Lambada and Brazilian Zouk are dances, artistic expressions, and cultural manifestations, whose purpose is learning, technical development, and the appreciation of the art of dance, grounded in respect, connection, and musicality.
In light of this, the organizers take a firm and unequivocal stance against any professional, practice, or event that misrepresents the name, image, and values of Lambada and Brazilian Zouk by associating these dances with sexual connotations.
Therefore:
Events that hire professionals who promote this type of association will not be supported or sponsored;
Such professionals will not be hired for events organized by us.
We reaffirm our commitment to respect, ethics, art, and dance culture.
