Been a while but I finally made cake for a friend's party in the Ardennes 😁
Just a chocolate ganache cake with Dutch Strawberries fillings and topped with Dutch Strawberries too.

You thought I stopped baking 🥴
No, I just had been too busy with studies and had to save up to buy tools🥺
And I wanted to end the year with something I love making and eating, Strawberry Shortcake.
It's the first cake I ever made in Belgium and I'm so thankful has a handmixer for less than €15 😇
A standard stand mixer was €80 here and I was like 🥴 I can't afford that🥴
But I did it, despite the lack of tools and different environment, I DID IT.
Also bless Slagroom for a wonderful fatty whip cream and the lovely selection of cheap fresh fruits 😘 All cake ingredients were also purchased from Albert Heijn (Sponsor mij AUB)
