Some experiences begin long before the first sip.
🍇We visited the vineyards of Seewines Spirit near Lesichovo, in the gentle hills of Sredna Gora, where the landscape and climate create excellent conditions for growing grapes for both wine and spirits.
Among the vineyards are Muscat Ottonel, Mavrud, Rubin and other Bulgarian varieties, including older vines that are carefully preserved and cultivated.
From the vineyards, we continued to the Seewines Spirit distillery, where we could follow the process behind their spirits - from the grapes and fermentation to distillation and ageing.
🥂The visit also introduced us to Arkana, Seewines Spirit’s rakia collection. The core Arkana range is made from 100% Muscat Ottonel, showcasing the naturally expressive character of this aromatic Bulgarian grape variety. Depending on the expression, the spirit may be aged in Bulgarian oak, adding greater depth and complexity.
What makes the experience special is seeing the whole journey first-hand - from the vineyard to the distillery and, finally, to the glass.
