Permanent art at the Festivalpark. The North West Walls have been a striking feature of the Festivalpark in Werchter (Belgium) since 2014.

Rock Werchter has shown that art has its place at a music festival and that it works. North West Walls has lent the festival fabulous artistic allure. As art projects go, this is a highly ambitious one. North West Walls is a mark on the landscape that can be admired long after the festival period has ended. It is a permanent installation. But then again it is not. Because it looks different every

year. Under the curatorship of Arne Quinze, the North West Walls are brought to life by a new set of street artists every year. Arne Quinze has invited six massive talents for North West Walls 2017: Hoxxoh (USA), Phlegm (UK), Astro (FR), Telmo Miel (NL), Jarus (CAN) and Smates (BE).

The North West Walls murals are ready! Once again, six brilliant artists have let their creativity run free 🎨 The artworks of Anaïs Lera (CA/FR), Guillem Font (ES/MX), Afzan Pirzade (IN), Luca Ledda (IT), Fabien Hupin (FR/BE) and Kamma Marlo (ES) each express their own story and emotions. The results are stunning!

We’re so excited to unveil the lineup of the 11th edition of North West Walls, Rock Werchter’s street art project. Recently, the monumental container walls were once again painted in a neutral base layer, ready to welcome a new generation of murals!

Under the curatorship of Arne Quinze, six international talents have once again been selected to shape this edition, bringing their artworks to life on-site in the coming weeks 🎨

Street Art Cities celebrates the most popular street art across the world with their Street Art Awards. We’re very proud to share that Wouter Persyn is nominated in the category ‘Best of 2025’ for his artwork he created at North West Walls! His work is at the intersection of architecture and art and is finished with a touch of surrealism.
