Saelens and Derdaele continue the winning streak at Assen

- Nicolas Saelens and Dylan Derdaele secure their second consecutive victory of the season and strengthen their championship lead

- Belgium Racing Team dominates the Porsche Endurance Trophy Benelux with three cars inside the top four

The Porsche Endurance Trophy Benelux once again delivered an exciting endurance spectacle, this time at the iconic TT Circuit Assen. After their victory at the season opener in Zolder, Nicolas Saelens and Dylan Derdaele (Belgium Racing Team) made it two wins from two races, taking a commanding victory in the second round of the 2026 season. Porsche also claimed overall honours in the Belcar Endurance Championship, while Belgium Racing Team further underlined its strength with three cars finishing inside the top four.

A sensational opening stint from Dylan Derdaele laid the foundation for success, as he charged through the field and took the lead within the opening laps. Together with Saelens, the duo controlled the race despite overcoming steering issues after contact during the event. Behind the winners, ART Racing secured a second consecutive runner-up finish, while Belgium Racing Team completed the podium with its Cool-Coox-Rillaerts entry.

The championship now heads to the legendary Spa-Francorchamps circuit in the Belgian Ardennes for Round 3 on July 3 and 4.

Round 2 Assen✅

During the 3H race at the legendary TT Circuit Assen, Belgium Racing’s nr99 fought their way to the top step of the class and overall podium after qualifying outside the top three, an all-round impressive performance by Nicolas Saelens and Dylan Derdaele.

They were followed by ART Racing’s nr2 in P2, with Belgium Racing’s nr98 rounding out the podium in P3.

In the GT Sport division, VR Racing by NGT nr40 secured P1, followed closely by Q1 Motorsport nr30 in P2.

Assen Hosts the Porsche Endurance Trophy Benelux

- Well-known names from the Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux and Porsche Sprint Challenge Benelux to compete in the Porsche Endurance Trophy Benelux

Zonhoven, 4 June 2026. The 2026 Porsche Endurance Trophy Benelux got off to an intense start at Circuit Zolder in early May and heads north to the Netherlands this weekend for its second round. Located 35 kilometres south of Groningen is the Assen circuit, a venue known among motorcycle racing enthusiasts as the Cathedral of Speed. The Porsche Endurance Trophy Benelux schedule features a 180-minute race, starting on Sunday at 14:55.

After a one-season hiatus, the Belcar Endurance Championship once again crosses national borders. The Porsche Endurance Trophy Benelux remains part of that national championship, meaning several Porsche racing models will take to the asphalt in the north of the Netherlands this weekend.

Even more racing time ⏱️

During our season opener at Circuit Zolder, we had the pleasure of racing a full 3 hours instead of the previously standard 125 minutes, a significant increase in track time. This also raised the endurance challenge, requiring longer stints, potentially additional pit stops, and an even greater focus on tyre management.

Participation in the Porsche Endurance Trophy Benelux is not just reserved for the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (992.1), as drivers can also enter with the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport or the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport.

This allows drivers to gain experience at the highest level of endurance racing in the Benelux, while selecting the platform best suited to their current stage of development.

About yesterday’s slightly soggy race 🌧️

An exciting first round with plenty of strategic decisions throughout the rainy three-hour race made it one to remember for a long time. With a strong grid, we were treated to close racing and great battles, even in the toughest wet conditions.
