MOTHER'S DAY //

I would love to wish a very Happy Mother's day to all the women in the world who are a mom, a plus mom, an adoptive mom, to all the pregnant women, to the women who are a mom of an little angel in heaven,...Today it's mother's day for everyone.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I became a mother for the first time 16,5 years ago and for the last time 3,5 years ago. Every day I feel so blessed being a mother of these four amazing children who I consider to be a miracle - isn't every child a miracle? - with his/her own special story, personality, character. I really love seeing them growing up, discovering the world and becoming the unique individuals with their own goal and purpose in life.

I'm not curious for the future as I'm slowing down and soaking up every minute that I'm spending with them now. I'm such a grateful and proud mother.

SLOW DOWN WEEKEND //
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Someone once said "Slowing down is the best way to speeding up" and that is what I'm doing this weekend.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
After running like crazy, traveling a lot and spending a lot of time away from home and from my wonderful family these last few weeks, I'm spending a lot of time at home this weekend surrounded by my husband and my amazing 4 children.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I'm slowing down and creating memories;
I'm cherishing these small and so precious moments in life;
I'm hugging my children moren than they probably want to be hugged;
I'm soaking up the vitamins of the sun & charging my batteries before switching up to a higher gear again for the next months as I know that a very intense few weeks are right around the corner.

I'm so thankful for these special moments, for my husband and for my children.

We’ve made it to the weekend! I have plans to change from an experience designer into a mom, a wife, a friend, to clean my house & do the laundry - I know...not the most exciting, adventurous and fancy things - to spend some much needed quality time with my family, to celebrate mothers day, to unwind and to charge my batteries before traveling from Spain to Belgium to Italy to France to ... and sleep in a million different beds.

WEDDING ANNIVERSARY //

A very happy 7th wedding anniversary to S&K who at the beginning of May 2016 got married in the breathtaking region of Puglia. I'm a bit too late, that's true, but I'm convinced that they are still celebrating their love every single day over and over again and that they still cherish every single moment of their unique wedding weekend.

I really can't believe that it's been 7 years since they said yes and since we traveled to a region that was on the edge of becoming one of the most popular Italian wedding regions.

I can't wait to return to Puglia and to realize more dreams, to create more magical experiences, to make more people slow down, relax & enjoy some precious moments in life with the ones they love the most.

REVIEW //

In 2021 konden en mochten I&L onder een schroeiende zuiderse zon eindelijk JA zeggen. Ze werden omgeven door de typisch Toscaanse en door hen heel geliefde wijngaarden en door een prachtige rustgevende olijfgaard.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Op het einde van hun huwelijksweekend was hun dankbaarheid heel groot en dat is altijd zo gebleven. Ze blijven me volgen en blijven mij vanaf de zijlijn aanmoedigen in alles wat ik doe. Daarvoor ben ik hen nu zelf ook enorm dankbaar.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Een tip vanuit het hart van een gepassioneerde en heel betrokken ondernemer. Als je over iemand tevreden bent, als je merkt dat iemand zijn uiterste best gedaan heeft om jou de best experience ever te geven, als iemand all the way gaat en jou wensen in vervulling laat gaan, als iemand jou gelukkig maakt, laat het ook merken. Geef hem/haar een schouderklopje of een bemoedigend woordje. Wees positief en dankbaar. Schrijf een mooie review of stuur een kaartje op. Niet alleen op werkvlak, maar ook in de privésfeer. Iedereen kan af en toe wel eens een complimentje, een woord van dank, wat positiviteit gebruiken want niemand is een robot, niemand is vrij van emoties.

TO VEIL OR NOT TO VEIL //

Since I decided in 2019 to only organize destination weddings or better destination experiences I haven't seen that many veils anymore.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This bride decided to wear one on her wedding day in the Southwest of France. The lovely bride yesterday on the other hand didn't wear one but only covered her shoulders as they got married in a very special Sicilian church.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And what about me? I got married in Italy and also wore one on my wedding day, but there was a story attached to it...it was my mothers veil. Something old and beautiful in other words.

Last week we used vibrant colors to give some a colorful, summery vibe to the place where the dinner was held. Today will be completely different.

PRIMO MAGGIO - PRIMO BAGNO //
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This is what the Italians always say...As of the first of May the weather is acceptable to go in the pool or the sea...BUT last Monday it was cold, rainy and windy in Umbria. So no primo bagno at all for anyone.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We are now traveling to Sicily. Let's hope that the primo bagno will be possible for the guests and that they can enjoy some pool time.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

PS. This pictures wasn't taken in Sicily but in Tuscany in 2021 during a wedding weekend that has a very special place in my heart.
