Deze vond ik wel een leuke om te delen.
🖌️ Er kan magie uit onze schminkborstels komen, maar geen wonderen 🪄
🤗
🎨 Face Painters Aren’t Magicians. We’re Artists with Brushes, Not Wands ✨
Every now and then someone messages saying “We’ve got over 100 children coming for our 2 hour event, so how many can you paint?”
Let’s break that down👇
⏱️ 2 hours = 120 minutes.
🎨 Average speed: 4-6 minutes per child = approximately 10-15 kids per hour.
🥳 Up to 30 kids (absolute maximum) for a 2 hour party.
Now in those few minutes, we’ve got to:
• Get them in the chair
• Help them decide what they want (after they change their mind three times)
• Actually paint it (whilst chatting and keeping them comfortable and not wriggly)
• Add sparkles and “wow!” time with their mirror moment.
• Clean our brushes (and change our water periodically) before the next little one sits down.
So one professional face painter can realistically paint around 30 kids in 2 hours with decent quality designs that children want, without melting into a puddle of rainbow stress. 🌈💦
If you’ve got 100 kids, that’s not a face painting problem, that’s an arithmetic problem.
The solution?
➡️ Book more face painters…. Please! (We love teamwork)
Even the best brushes in the world can’t beat the clock. We’re artists, not octopuses. 🐙🎨😁
Ps: and even asking us to do “small simple cheek designs” doesn’t make a difference. All of the above still applies, and smaller can mean more detailed so can even add more time!
