Loud.Ladies.Belgium Loud Ladies aims to gather, represent, and support female DJs in Belgium.

We want to strengthen the presence of women in clubs, parties, festivals and the music industry and strive for a fair and equal scene. By the end of 2024 we would like all venues, festivals and event organizers to sign the 5-point charter below and aim to follow up its implementation. All along the way we will listen to all female DJs, hear and learn from their experiences and input with the goal

Starting Loud Ladies Music has been a dream that’s been in the making for a long time.

This release means more to me than I can put into words. Not because it’s my track, but because of everything it represents.

Maybe that’s why the title couldn’t be more fitting.

A special thank you to Luminate Productions for believing in this project and helping bring Inevitable to life.

People often tell me that the music industry is welcoming to women. They ask why Loud Ladies still needs to exist.

Then something like this happens. Again.

Every single week I experience situations that remind me how much harder women still have to fight to be seen, heard and trusted. If this is what happens to me, imagine what so many other women experience behind the scenes.

I’m heartbroken, but more determined than ever. Because I’m tired of hearing endless explanations for why a man can be booked, trusted or promoted, while a woman somehow can’t.

This is exactly why Loud Ladies exists.

We need more artists like Sophie Straat.

Artists who dare to speak up. Artists who challenge the status quo. Artists who make us look at the things we’d sometimes rather ignore.

The backlash following her statement is a reminder that conversations about power, privilege and representation are still necessary.

When voices that have historically been given less space ask for more room, it can feel uncomfortable for those who are used to being heard.

But equality is not about taking something away. It’s about making room.

At Loud Ladies, we believe music should reflect the diversity of the people who create it, perform it and experience it.

Music has always been a place for resistance, reflection and change. That’s why we need artists who dare to question, challenge and speak up.

So yes — we need more artists who dare to use their voice. More artists like Sophie Straat.
