So much joy in these images, not only because of the celebration itself, but also because of this beautiful collaboration I had the chance to share with the one and only Sonia Rolland ❤️

I remember, one year ago, when I first reached out to Sonia on Instagram to congratulate her on her engagement and offered to create her wedding dress. Honestly, I thought my message would go unanswered. « At least I tried » I thought… But to my surprise, she answered, and not only did she reply, she was genuinely enthusiastic about the my work and more specifically, the Octavia dress.

It was also important to her to collaborate with independent designers, people who still create with their hands, with time and heart, and keep true craftsmanship alive.

When she first came to my atelier, we immediately clicked, as if we had known each other for long.

It was such a pleasure working together to adapt the design to her silhouette and her ceremony, making it shorter, and more open at the back.

One of the most emotional moments for me was when I travelled to Paris to deliver her dress. I was quite nervous, to be honest, since we had only done one fitting because of her busy schedule and the distance. I brought all my sewing tools with me, thinking, “Just in case, I’ll be ready to adjust anything.”

But when she tried it on, the dress fit her perfectly… It was such a relief and a beautiful surprise for both of us.

Afterwards, she invited me to stay and have lunch at her place. Turns out, we both love to eat, talk, laugh and drink tea!

I’ll always keep such fond memories of creating this dress.

Si on m’avait dit il y a quelques années que je créerais un jour la robe de mariée de Sonia Rolland, je ne l’aurais surement pas cru ! Et pourtant…

Il y a quelques mois, j’ai eu l’immense honneur d’accueillir dans mon atelier la talentueuse actrice, réalisatrice et ancienne Miss France 2000. ❤️

Ce fut un véritable honneur de lui créer sa robe Octavia, en dentelle de Calais, pour son mariage civil.

Un immense merci à L’Officiel Belgique pour avoir mis en lumière ce beau projet, et à Sonia pour sa confiance, sa gentillesse et son élégance tout au long de cette aventure créative.
