Nous offrons des expositions, des soirées de cinéma, des conférences, une bibliothèque, et des cours de cuisine et de langue (KCC King Sejong Institute). NL- Het Koreaans Cultureel Centrum van Brussel opende de deuren eind november 2013 voor iedereen die zich interesseert in de Koreaanse cultuur. On October 1st, the opening ceremony of 'Korean Film Week 2026' was held at Cinema Palace. The opening 'The King's Warden' was sold out, and the movie theater was filled with the heat of the audience. Even the cute and unique Korean sweets (Kalphabet snack) prepared as a gift! OmyRose Yeon has bright acidity, refreshing bubbles, and the distinctive sweet-and-tart fruitiness of omija (five-flavor berry).

The acidity and carbonation help cut through the richness of the pan-fried egg coating, while the fruity character adds freshness to the savoury beef.

🍵 Korean Tea: The Art of Balance

Korea's tea story dates back to Queen Seondeok's reign, taking root nationwide after King Heungdeok's 828 decree to plant tea seeds on Jirisan Mountain. Centuries later, monk Choui revived it all, teaching that tea and Zen share "one taste."

At its heart is jungjeong (中正), balance in water, leaf, and brewing time. Korea's own answer to Japan's wa and China's zhongyong.

This week we teamed up with Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp () to explore Hanbok, from Korean heritage to contemporary fashion 🇰🇷

🎤 21 September: Open Lecture with Ha Eun Chang (), founder of OUWR (.kr), the designer behind BLACKPINK's Coachella 2023 looks and NewJeans' VOGUE Korea Hanbok. A deep dive into Hanbok aesthetics and its modern reinvention.

✂️ Then came a two day workshop where 13 third year Costume Design students, guided by Designer Jang, crafted their own jackets inspired by Hanbok, learning its details and spirit along the way.

📍 Coming in November: catch the exhibition, happening sequentially at KCC Brussels (Sablon) and then at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp. ✨

An unforgettable evening filled with pure resonance and quiet intensity. 🎻✨

On Wednesday 23 September, baroque cellist Pio Hyngun Cho captivated a full house at KCC with an extraordinary performance of J.S. Bach’s Complete Solo Cello Suites.

Performing the entire cycle on a single baroque cello with gut strings, Cho brought Bach’s masterpiece to life with profound depth, speech-like intimacy, and brilliant virtuosity. From the serene opening of the First Suite to the expansive radiance of the Sixth, the audience was held spellbound throughout the night.
