For one evening, TheMerode moved to the rhythm of the Fête de la Musique.

Every room found its own tempo. Live performances echoed through the Club, conversations carried from one space to the next, and familiar faces gathered to celebrate the start of summer together.

The evening also became a moment of shared impact.
Thanks to the TheMerode community, €10,500 was raised for CONSERVAMUS, supporting the renovation of the Royal Conservatories of Brussels.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and made this celebration unmistakably TheMerode.

This Friday, Place Poelaert comes alive.

Six stages. One night. Music in every room.
From Mathilde Fernandez’s lyrical power to Junior Goodfellaz’s soul-drenched instincts, from Miel de Montagne’s pop-tinged electronic anthems to Stereoclip closing the night at ökēn, this is our Fête De La Musique.

Jazz in the hallways. Classical echoes from the Conference Room. Hip-hop, funk and garage shaking the Grande Merode. Electronic sets running until late.

He will take Stage 02 in the Conservatory at our Fête De La Musique on June 19.

On May 27th, Kendell Geers sat down with Michael Borremans and Elise Caluwaerts to ask an important question: Does art matter?

Art Matters is TheMerode’s recurring salon, hosted by Belgo-South African artist Kendell Geers, where the myths and inner workings of the art world are questioned before a live audience. Positioned between inquiry and conversation, it operates on a single conviction: art changes the world, one perception at a time.

That evening, two of Belgium’s most compelling artistic voices, painter Michael Borremans and soprano singer Elise Caluwaerts, brought the question to life in a room that wasn’t ready to leave.

Now showing: Michael Borremans at David Zwirner Paris. One of the world’s most influential contemporary art galleries, David Zwirner has represented Borremans since 2011, and his current Paris exhibition, which opened June 5th, is already one of the most talked-about shows of the season.
