Saturday’s free open air at .bxl with is coming up this weekend on the 20th of July!

We’d like to introduce our very special guest, so happy to have her over 😈

Mixing everything from meticulously constructed soundscapes to wild raves, Melissa’s sets are fluid, versatile and unapologetic. Long blends and layered grooves tie together her multitude of musical tastes, with a heavy dose of all things progressive, trance-y and acidic. Expect irresistible rhythms, hypnotic vocals and forbidden throwbacks.

Melissa Juice is a resident DJ and co-organiser at , a collective hosting care-focused, q***r-forward underground events with women and non-binary folks at the core. She - alongside fellow DJ - is also the co-host of on , a radio show that promotes women and q***r DJs in Canada and Belgium 🪅

Beyond the decks, Mel is equally invested in the fiercely political roots of rave. Through collaboration with local organizations, care teams and community members, she aims to create spaces that offer knowledge and resources related to substance use, consent and discrimination. It is in these spaces that celebration can become a radical protest against structural shame and oppression.

We can’t wait for her to share her energy with the dancefloor, specially for all of you on a rare, hot, sunny Saturday in Brussels ⚛️

❔Hailing from Antwerp and now Brussels-based, and his dub siren are known to fill up dancefloors and get the energy flowing. As one of the organisers of multidisciplinary collective and one of the psychonauts behind , his dedication and influence make him a key member of the Belgian dance music scene. As the next guest for our monthly residency, we asked Flapy to present us two of his current favourite tracks, and explain why he chose them. Here’s what he delivered:

Tune 1 - Ossia - Hack Dance
“It's a dangerous track, you really need to create a context as a dj to get away with this one. It's so intense and it has so many layers in the sound design that it could be too overwhelming. When I met Ossia at Meakusma festival I told him I really like this track and play it often. He told me he never dares to play it so he was glad someone did. The straight forward digital dub influence is a specific sound you'll recognize in a lot of Ossia tracks. Seeing him live is an amazing experience.”

Tune 2 - Roger Doyle - Spring Is Coming With a Strawberry in the Mouth
“This must be my favorite discovery from 2022. When I first heard I immediately got addicted to this track. The groove, high pitched vocals and the lyrics are an amazing combination that brings tears of joy to your eyes. It's almost the perfect pop tune. It's funny because most of Roger Doyle's work is much more experimental. Also definitely worth to check out!”

❓As a celebration of our 3rd event in the month of May, here’s a showcase of what went down at in Milan for a collaboration event between them and . .wav crew was there to distribute some tasty music for The Skateroom’ first pop up in Italy.

Enjoy a selection of the finest moments of the night, surrounded by artworks sold with the goal of funding social projects all around the world to help emancipate children through education and mainly skateboarding.
