On May 20, the conference Publieke Ruimte (Public Space) took place at the BMCC. The sustainability and accessibility of the BMCC were important advantages in the choice of venue. 🌱

Happy World Environment Day🌱

At the BMCC, sustainability is more than a goal — it's part of who we are. On this World Environment Day, we reaffirm our commitment to hosting events that respect and protect our planet.

Organising your event at the BMCC is a sustainable choice. The building’s green roof absorbs rainwater, purifies the air, and regulates

indoor temperature. You can also rely on green energy thanks to heat pumps and solar panels, which allow us to charge electric vehicles in the

underground parking garage. And what about the products for your event? We order them from local suppliers! Thanks to all these efforts,

🏃‍♀️ Global Running Day 🏃‍♂️
At the BMCC, we believe in staying active together! 💪 As a team, we regularly go for lunchtime runs through the beautiful streets of Bruges. Every year, we also proudly participate in the Miles for Smiles charity run, an inspiring event hosted at the BMCC.

We’re thrilled to share that Bruges is nominated for the 2025 IMEX-EIC Innovation in Sustainability Award! 🌱
The award recognizes those in the global business events industry who are doing exceptional work to create events that are planet-forward and innovative.
The IUCN Regional Conservation Forum was organised in Bruges in Ocotober 2024, demonstrating the power of local partnerships in a global context. With over 400 international delegates, this event was a celebration of collaboration, community, and sustainability, thanks to local partners True Bruges, Visit Bruges Convention Bureau, BMCC, D’s Deldycke Traiteurs, Agentschap voor Natuur en Bos, Concertgebouw Events, Aventix, Green Key International and of course IUCN. 🙌
